Cable Forum - Coming Soon to Virgin TV (2009)

Virgin do seem to have come out all guns blazing. And the speed at which they managed to sign the ESPN deal, to not only include HD but free on the XL package is truly astounding.

I really ho Sci Fi HD will be in the cards sometime soon in the future.

Must admit, compared to recent months, I'm actually now happy to be following this thread again. I cannot wait for all the HD channels and on demand content! :-)

...yes, if you mean, will the channels be in 5.1 sound, they will. But if you do mean radio stations, then no.

My God I do hope so! I'm really eager to see if they broadcast sports like baseball and NASCAR (even if it's not the sprint cup series) over here.
Or is it going to be the usual cr*p like soccer, cricket and golf! ;) Hope not..

According to the statement on the ESPN America website, yes. The ESPN UK website makes no mention of US sports in HD though, only soccer.

Cheers. Obviously the main draw is watching Prem footy in HD but American sports would be a nice bonus.

Are the 3 tomorrow going to be a midnight launch?

Then again this new is brilliant - a fantastic move on VM behalf and shuts up people like me that didn't believe that we would get more HD within a year!!!

guys does this mean that espn will need to have hd cameras at the premier and scottish games to broadcast in hd?
