You decide, you’re making this up as you go along. Using rationale you’re better off criticising them for what they have done rather than something they haven’t done but you think they “might” do.

Can't reward you in the normal manner but the thought counts.:)

Anyway, Thatcher’s not been in power for over 34 years - pretty sure most of the Tory MPs who stood in the 2024 Election wouldn’t have been MPs when she was in power…

Amusing you think people like Redwood, Jenkins, Patel, Badenoch, Rees-Mogg, Truss, Kwarteng, Steve Baker, Buckland, Coffey, Philip Davies, Liam Fox, Fabricant, Gillis, etc. are "wets" - says more about you than them… ;)

Not all of them, obviously. I was talking about Rishi’s supporters.

Surprised no one’s talking about Idiot Starmer misleading the House yesterday during PMQ, referencing Boris & Rishi having convictions, a FPN isn’t a conviction dumb ass, & he was a Director of public prosecutions?

Fun fact - 11 MPs in the Conservative Party under Rishi Sunak were MPs when Thatcher was in Office, and of those, pretty sure Bill Cash, Edward Leigh, David Davis, John Redwood, & Roger Gale could not be described in any way, shape, or form as “Thatcher’s Wets"… ;)

It'll probably just get swept under the carpet because it isn't the tories

Kemi Badenoch slams Starmer at PMQs for having a “cabinet of trade union stooges, CV embellishers and an actual fraudster”. Surely not

Probably the fact that after 14 years of Tory rule standing up in the chamber and misrepresenting things isn't noteworthy.

Of course they are not 'wets'. They may have served in the Conservative Party while in government, but they were not admirers of Rishi.

Can you explain to me how, if only 11 Tory MPs in the last Conservative Administration were also MPs during Thatcher’s time in power, and nearly half of those were not ‘wets’, how the other 360 Conservative MPs were ”Thatcher’s wets"?

Loving the equating of the incorrect use of a thesaurus with trashing the country :)

Your reputation for pedantry knows no bounds.

I am describing Rishi’s supporters as the type of people whom Thatcher would have described as ‘wets’.

But you knew that, didn’t you?

Thank you - that means so much coming from someone like you…

This. The Tories have simply normalised lying and misrepresentation. Starmer should at least try to set an example by going against that way of thinking but as the stage had been set for him many years ago then he’s just going along with what we’ve become used to.
