Can't recall ever having watched a F1 race so thanks for the info. I know now that it like watching lots of Land/Range Rovers with humorous number plates touring around the Peak District countryside.

He is just expressing an opinion on motor racing. I don't like it at all either but understand many do and hope they get the HD channel.

My insider told me on Wednesday night that they have been testing in Virgin HQ for some time.

That means if tests are fine they will launch anytime from week starting May 12th to May 22nd.

That's a helluver long week, MB! Are we getting +1 days as well now (Monday +1, Tuesday +1, etc)? I want retirement!

No I was meaning that if tests goes fine the new Sky Sports HD Channels may launch by the next May Bank Holiday weekend.

As early as next week.

Just in time for "Vikings" to start on Tuesday 13th May? I heartily recommend that, if you haven't seen it already ... watch it. It is ACES.

Lol, I know it sounds ridiculous to be glad that this crap channel is repeated an hour later, but I will find it will be useful for timeshifting recordings during the night which clash with educational and current affairs programmes that I like to record :D

I take this as a measure of confidence from Sky that they can go against the BBC. Sky's coverage has come a long way in a very short space of time and they deserve credit for sticking with Simon Lazenby after what was a truly awful start. He's now comfortably ahead of Suzy Perry in terms of lead presenter. At the same time the BBC have lost Jake Humphrey, let Gary Anderson go and now we only see Eddie Jordan on live broadcasts - and he might appear a clown but he's actually broken some of the major stories over the last few years and that shouldn't be ignored.

On top of that some of Sky's Senna memorial programming was really good - especially The Last Teammate which I thought was really powerful, it certainly caught my mood on the day.

But, as I said earlier, the BBC's coverage is still decent, and streets ahead of most of the rest of the world, with the possible exception of France. Sky have definitely got themselves ahead though.
