My SH2 just rebooted on me again, really starting to not be happy with it now!

It did it last night too and then nearly exactly 24hrs before that.

Also getting Xbox live lag when playing wired and i never got any of these problems before.

Was it a reboot or a disconnect? Check your session time here http://192.168.100.1/device_connection_status.html

Mine used to kick itself off the network every 12 hours for a minute or two, but a proper reboot sorted it out.

Well how do i tell, all the lights went off on the front?

You have the 12hr bug like Seph, i was thinking last night i have a 24hr one.

i dont have this bug :D i dont think :erm: ive rebooted a few times manually to see if theres any change to wifi, any glitches appear-go away, things become nippy after a reboot etc. but thats about it.

I have just checked my Sh2 logs and can confirm i also have the 12hr reboot bug!

So these are now my problems on the SH2

1. Terrible looking TBB graph
2. Xbox Live lag (wired)
3. 12hr reboot bug

I haven't had the 12 hour bug for two weeks. A firmware change was downloaded to me; I had one 12 hour event after that and then no more. The SH2, in router mode with wireless on is perfectly stable. Ihave the router attached in bridge mode (I'll eventually go back to modem mode, of course), but I'm curious to see how long this SH2 honeymoon lasts.

I have asked for the updated firmware in the vm thread but not heard back yet.

I will have to buy a router or go back to SH1 if the xbox live lag doesnt get sorted out.

If you know it'll work well in modem mode, then it's a no brainer, IMHO. Solves everything except congestion.

Clarify please. I know you can be a bit picky!:D

VxA=W. That is set in stone.

However what is the VxA being drawn from the mains to the adaptor, that is the true consumption.

As the current for the S/H or any device using a power adapter is drawn fron the mains and induced by the coils in the adapter then it is the adapters current draw from the mains which should be measured.

I look forward to your reply! :D

The markings on the adapter indicate the maximum safe output that the adaptor is designed to ever sustain, it does not mean any connected device always uses that amount.

I must have been tired when looking at my logs, i am actually getting 24hr reboots almost to the minute, has anyone had these?

I live in a small house though so i don't really need another piece of kit, so i hope VM sort the SH2 out.

You look at the link I posted and check the uptime :p

If it's multiple days then it's not rebooting. Rebooting indicates a crash or a severe failure state, if it's just disconnecting then it's not as severe an issue as your network will remain up but the cable connection will just drop temporarily.

Session Time 3day 20h:32m:36s

So i have a 24hr disconnect then, still all the same to me as i lose the internet nearly pretty much exactly every 24hrs and i expect it again tonight at around 21:05ish (19:52) in the logs.
