There will be ramifications from the West Ham game:

Quote:

A man has been stabbed in the chest during violence involving "hundreds" of fans outside West Ham's Upton Park stadium during a game with Millwall....

..."There were 500 to 1,000 riot police and Millwall fans managed to break through the divide...

...Eyewitness Fergal O'Brien said: "I saw a West Ham fan getting punched in the face by a burly bald man who had a coin between his fists....

...Ben Newton, from Harrow, north London, said his father had been stretchered away after being hit with a dart to the head.
Fans also invaded the pitch, causing the play to be suspended.

West Ham are on the pitch again, this time hugging their own players.

It's morons like this who give true football fans a bad name, they're just out to have a fight, it's pathetic. Hopefully the club and police have their faces on CCTV and they get a lifetime ban from football grounds.

Great plan Shadow, kick out a team that are already knocked out :erm:

It was always going to happen, they should have played it behind closed doors.

That would be punishing the majority because of the stupid minority.

I would reduce the capacity by half. The lunatic fringe are easier to spot without totally destroying the atmosphere.

Can't see many other options for this match, perhaps not allowing away fans in but considering most of the trouble was outside and the majority are already being punished, you'd have to be a complete moron to take you children to that match for instance

I quite liked this take:

http://www.thedailymash.co.uk/news/s...-200908262009/

Quote:

SENIOR police officers have been told to explain why they prevented rival gangs of West Ham and Millwall fans from beating from each other to death last night.

As violence flared at Upton Park, zoologists said riot police had no right to interfere with the natural process of evolution.

Experts have called for new guidelines that will allow football supporters to bang each other's skulls with baseball bats until the last retard standing finally clubs himself into oblivion.

I have been a fan for over 30 years, and there is two things l will say, I was at a West Ham v Spurs game and stewards were putting BOTH supporters on the same train, just to get them away from Upton Park, and the doors then shut and all hell broke loose, we were not seperated, And in all my years becuase of the Millwall supporters aggro l never went there, due to the reputation.

There has always been this bad feeling between both clubs, and it won't stop, I blame TWO sets of people for last night, ONE the police, who did great OUTSIDE the ground, but they knew there was trouble, WHY dind't they 'ring' the staduim inside the ground, TWO, why didn't West Hame have enough stewards inside the ground to cope.

It was a shameful incident but a United fan can't really point the figure can you? How many times did Ronaldo dive? At least Arsenal don't often do crap like that. No player in the team has a reputation for diving. Hopefully Wenger will chew Eduardo out and tell him cut it out now.

They've been doing it all match non stop, Arsenal would be a great team to watch if they stopped diving and rolling around with 'injuries' . I bet Wenger's happy with his dive and will later claim he didn't see it in his post match interviews as per usual.

If I remember correctly Arsenal finished above United in the fair play table. They usually do since they stopped getting sent off. They haven't been doing it all match, it was just that very bizarre incident which was horrible to watch as a Arsenal fan.

Like I said, When United stop diving then you can start moralising about other teams diving. Every other team 'cheats' according to United fans. Chelsea cheated, Arsenal cheated, Liverpool are bunch of cheats meanwhile Ronaldo spent most of last season on the floor.

It's not what you'd call conclusive but I don't ever recall a "Same old Liverpool, always cheating" chant.

I don't recall many occasions where Arsenal have been accused of cheating. It's just a chant. Like I said Arsenal tend to be very high in the fair play league.

Still. There is no defending Eduardo's dive.
