Kiss Kiss, Bang Bang - 8.5/10.

Very funny, cynical, and violent - and has Robert Downey Jr and Val Kilmer in it.

Wasn't a very good film at all..and the ending was just silly... 4/10 from me.

Just watched From Dusk Till Dawn - must be the fourth time now. It's still excellent. Dark, funny and sometimes very gory. Also a bit of string bending ;) The "pyscho's do not explode when sunlight hits them. I don't care how crazy they are" ending is great. Not to mention the, um, sales rep's sales pitch :D

10/10

Watched... The Librarian: Return to King Solomon's Mines
Slightly Indiana Jones'ish, not a patch on those films though but watchable.
Kids'll like it (maybe) it has a couple of familiar names in the cast, Bob Newhart and Olympia Dukakis.
Its a continuation from the first Librarian film, special effects are ok and the story flows well, its not to eclectic.

Shooters

3/10

Absolutely crap. One of the reviews was "It makes most gangster films look like The Tellytubbies" Does it hell! None of the people in it are actual actors, it wasn't even scripted.

The Bourne Ultimatum - 8.5/10

It would have got 9/10, except for the Norton Firewall/AntiVirus product placement.

Paul Greengrass sneaks in a couple of topical points, such as Echelon and rendition..

That is 1 excellent, funny film.
I think that the days of true comedy have passed us by, but every now and then a gem comes along and as Antisilence has said, if you have had the bypass, you may as well not watch this film. Could it be a modern classic comedy film, I think so. :tu: :tu: :tu: :tu: :tu:

I've only seen it once before, before I'd ever actually watched Firefly, but did enjoy it.

Watched it today for the 2nd time, having recently worked my way through my Firefly box-set, & it's even better.

The Bourne Ultimatum 9/10
Fast paced noting really lingered on the unnessarcery, probrably the best of the 3 films to date. I wonder if they will make the Bourne Legacy, although not written by Ludlum it would make a good film to add to the series.

Agree with Foreverwar's comment on product placement.

Transformers

Went to see it last night and thought it was great. Possibly a little silly in places, but the fight scenes and special effects were epic.

Personally I'd like to have seen it be a little more dark, in the way that Batman Begins was more dark that the other Batman movies - other than that it gets two thumbs up :tu::tu: and a 9/10

Not one of his best, but still very enjoyable.

I like how the T2 poster had Stallone instead of Arnie, lol.

Robert "T1000" Patrick is also in it briefly.

Never really been a big fan of the Simpsons mainly because I've never really bothered to watch it so begrudgingly took the lad to see it on the cinema. Breach is available as a R1 dvd and is just a thriller not much action (based on a true story). Death sentance looks more action packed.

The simpsons on Dvd.
I rate the movie 4 star . It starts out with Itchy and Scratchy and then Homer suggests we are stupid to splash out at a cinema when it is available on tv. Too right. 20 quid for the cinema in O2! £100 for five people.

Anyway, the film features Green Day. There are a few Titanic parodies and of course the main theme of the movie is, Global warming. best character is the pink squirrel who turns into a multi eyed squirrel. He hates pepper spray and has a funny "eyip". This results in another eyeball popping out.

When it is released, The Simpsons Movie will make the ideal Christmas present or a DVD to watch on these dark and arctic nights.

The Omen

It is about this evil kid. It reminds me of today. How kids are manipulative/evil and they manage to play on judges heartstrings to guarentee a two year probation order for stoning an old man to his death.

Rate movie, 10/10 for unwittingly predicting the future:shocked:

Hannibal Rising - 1/10 - I only managed to watch half of it before turning it off - Absolute rubbish (I'm glad this cost only 1p to view but I still would like a refund)

Ratatouille - 5/10 - This was OK but not up to the usual Disney/Pixar standards.

Pirates of the Caribbean - At Worlds End 8/10 - I really enjoyed this, Johnny Depp is brilliant.

Grindhouse-Planet Terror - 9/10 - This was amazing, really gory and really cheesy - fantastic.

Ratatouille...6/10.
It was a good movie for watching with the young un`s i suppose.
Made me think of Gordon Ramsey in a whole new way though.

Sicko 7/10 interesting viewing however as with all of Michael Moores documentaries must be taken with a pinch of salt

Saw 4 - 8/10 And thats for the gore & cringe factor. And if I had to rate it for the story (which isn't the reason I went to see it) then I'd give it 5/10. I enjoyed it anyway.

Spiderman 3 - 6/10 not the worst film ever, but certainly not the best - loved the sudden appearance of Harry's butler, who was able to explain to Harry how his dad died - where was he for the last 2 films? - in the kitchen?

I find the adverts on this thread a little strange
