the preferred independence date is 24 March 2016, the day of the union of the crowns in 1603 and the treaty of union passing between England and Scotland. well sky and cable in Ireland show the football, as it is around Europe. so no change there. the bbc is shown round Europe. I actually need to correct myself. tv/radio services may change nearer the date of independence. A new digital Scottish broadcaster is proposed. to what extend BBC services will alter is up for negotiation. likewise what happens to VM, SKY, freeview and Freesat. I suspect the BBC will fight to keep its services in Scotland. |

Let's be totally honest here, imo, and I'd hazard a guess that a lot of people feel the same, if any of the comments I've heard from friends, family, etc are to go by, then the majority of channels on both Virgin and Sky are total rubbish/pish/garbage use any adjective you wish!

I think some viewers gain the impression that there's nothing on because they do not thoroughly scour the schedules on all the channels to see what's on. I'm still catching up with recordings made last year, as well as viewing On Demand and Netflix. The quality of my viewing is high and there is plenty there for me, so I have no complaints. I suppose if a stamp collector is looking only for programmes devoted to philately, they are going to be disappointed and maybe they don't need a TV at all! I have to say, though, that Tru TV does look as if we are scraping a very filthy barrel so I don't think we're missing much there and I would not want my subscription increased to pay for that! There are better FTA channels missing from our EPG that I would rather have than Tru TV. |
How much would it cost me to upgrade from a 500GB to 1TB TiVo?
Shame they haven't brought out a 2TB TiVo. |

[QUOTE=vincerooney;35723371]haha why is the One show being mentioned?? Is there a particular reason for the One Show being taken off air the day after the vote or did we mean the entire bbc network??

I received no clarification one way or the other regarding the rumour that the delay was down to negotiation for extra channels from this stable. VM were said to be "hopping mad" that TruTV were advertising availability on the platform, complete with EPG number, before carriage had even been signed off. |

In a way it could be harder as there's no market so it is down to your product and your negotiating position. Unlike satellite where you bid for EPG slots, buy regulated EPG info and buy satellite capacity. But dealing with VM could be easier as there is just one entity to deal with. And dealing with VM could also open the doors to other cable networks in Europe saving broadcasters time and money. And VM can move swiftly; let's not forget the BT Sport deal was only signed the night before the channels went live! |

E4 is a FTA channel, but receives a payment from VM for being on their platform. If the delay is due to extra channels being negotiated for as well, it seems daft for everybody concerned for this to keep TruTV off VM until/if negotiations are complete. Personally, my gut feeling is that this isn't the reason for the channels non appearence and that this is a recycled rumour. |

Not sure where this question fits so thought i'd shove it here...(thats what she said ooh er) does anyones tv anywhere app on the iphone mess up sometimes and say "your shows could not be found because your tivo box doesnt appear to be connected to the internet. please fix the connection or try again"
i had this problem for about 6 weeks a few months back. Nothing was wrong with my connection. my home network was fine. it worked a treat. But yet the app stubbornly kept coming up with this message. It then suddenly fixed itself without me doing anything after a few weeks... its now started doing it again. does this happen to anyone else?? |

The whole time i have had a TIVO i have not been able to get this to work, would be handy for remote record when i am out and about but no matter what i try it is adamant that my TIVO is not on my home network. It is as i can use Netflix and on demand without any hitches
|
Re: Coming Soon to Virgin TV (2014) Vol. 3
I think your getting a little confused , TIVO uses its internal modem for Netflix and iplayer. To use the mobile apps to use remote control functionality etc you need to connect the TIVO to your BB router via Ethernet cable or if its further away possibly use homeplugs.
