Didn't get a chance to see the match so I don't know how justified the sending off was or whether a 10 man MU deserved to lose by such a margin..

..but being a blue it has put a smile on my face :D and I'll look forward to watching it later

just a fluke scoreline like Real Madrid's hammering from Barca.

I'm also seeing a bundle of Premier league Keepers that are better than that David Da Gea and they would have cost United a fraction of the price.

Disagree

Man City deserved it. Man Utd midfield is weak, and results have flattered Man Utd recently, they aren't that good this season.

I'm not saying Man City are great, but equally i think they are beating an indifferent Man Utd team

But enjoyed the 6-1 :D

I'm a United fan and agree that Uniteds midfield is very poor , Anderson just doesn't cut it for me. As much as it grieves me to say it the best team won and Silva was awesome.

I have to agree with you there, and with it being this early in the season, hopefully Ferguson will do something about it.
Everyone needs a wake up call from time to time, and this was Ferguson's.

I am pleased Evans was sent off as he should not be on the pitch in the first place (I am not a fan of his), plus I think Ferguson got it completely wrong today, but hats off to City on a good result, but watch out next time :)

Yes, lots have been saying evans was a bad choice before the match.

I think the advantage for man city is that i don't think they are playing as well as they can. I still feel they have another gear.

But, will see what the January sales brings, I can see Man Utd buying (midfielder at least)

There must be a lot of Chelsea fans on this forum, but let me say this.

Chelsea are by the far the worst team for whinging and giving players a whack when the ref isn't looking, Chelsea have been known for years to be hard, you only have to go back to Chopper Harris in the heyday of Chelsea.

John Terry is always complaining and going in hard towards players, and some of his tackles are straight reds, but like Rooney he gets away with it.

He should have walked himself for some of his tackle, along with that player with the flashy hair, behind the legs, elbow jobs.

When they are losing they are terrible, l thought QPR played very well and dserved the win.

Its a great shame the FA don't show the same disipline to PL stars then they do to lower league clubs.

John Terry is now being investigated by the police over alleged racist comments after a complaint by a member of the public. I think if the player involved (Anton Ferdinand) does not make a complaint there is obviously nothing for the police to get involved in. It wasn't likely to be much, though i would have liked it to be.

Burden of proof was on the club, and that would have been quite hard.

Suspect now it is...sell him as soon as it is possible, recover some money..move on (and win the league, and champions league)

A Czech football match was abandoned after it was taken charge of by a drunk referee.

According to Lidove Noviny newspaper, the official had arrived merry following his birthday party.

During the game, the referee sent off two players for seemingly no reason, before falling over on a number of occasions.

"His breath smelt like a brewery and he didn't hide the fact that he had been celebrating a birthday," Karel Dusek, an executive from the Jestrabi Lhota club, said.

"There's no rule which bans a drunk referee from taking charge of a match. If we had refused to continue to play, we could have been sanctioned."

The Czech football authority decided to postpone the match. The referee faces a potential 12-month suspension.

If Newcastle and City manage to avoid defeat until they meet they will face each other as the only two Unbeaten sides in the league.

Swansea are having a good old time, Yet to win away but undefeated at home and up to 10th as things stand.

Another fine performance from the east end of Glasgow. :D

0-0 at home to Hibs.

Seemingly Leicester are interested in having Neil Lennon as their next manager. On behalf of all Rangers fans everywhere I'd like to implore them to reconsider. Scottish football needs him to continue with his comedy signings, tactics and his amazing ability to throw his players to the wolves every chance he gets. :)

l have to admit Derek my thoughts on Neil Lennon is that when Celtic appointed him here was a man totally out of his depth and nothing he has done since has changed that view.

For months now i have followed enthralled the debate amongst some of the most informed and foresighted bloggers on the planet regarding Fernando Torres, and why things just don't seem to be working out for him after his move to Chelsea.

Some of the theories advanced have been of Nobel standard, obviously drawing upon years of watching the game at the very highest levels, deep tactical understandi...ng, psychological analysis, keen knowledge of landscape gardening and an intimate grasp of Pythagoras's theorem.

Watching the game this afternoon, however, it dawned on me exactly what the problem is!

As is so often the case in such situations, the answer is ridiculously easy...........

He's rubbish. :D:D;)

After all the Racism rows of the past few weeks! Finally one with some truth to it.

Sammy Ameobi has been racially abused over twitter and both Newcastle and the player have contacted police. The account has since been deleted and the disgraceful comments removed.

Kick Racism out.

l will second that as Racism l am afraid is still prevalent in parts of society and it is terrible to be on the wrong end of racism taunts and namecalls and l experienced this when l was younger along with my brother and in my mind if someone makes these disgraceful comments and taunts in whatever sphere of society it is then the book should be thrown at them totally as in a civilised society we should not tolerate it at all.

l think the award should be based on a full season and not based on part of one season and then part of another season as what a player does last season does not mean he is going to be in form come the first half of the next season.

Manchester City striker Carlos Tevez would welcome a move to another Premier League club, according to his advisor Kia Joorabchian, who said: "His family are now living in England, so he's quite happy and settled."

http://www.mirrorfootball.co.uk/tran...cle825204.html

I went to football last saturday for the first time in ages and despite us winning, playing well and not being that long ball at all I don't think I'll be going back in a long time, £41 for Championship football but that's not the worst of it, some one behind me was told to stop shouting and another plank piped up with "oh did we change halves" 10 mins after half time.

Footballs lost its way so badly from what it used to be, I am sure there are loads of people that think its absolutely fab to sit there quietly with their family but I think it's crap and one of the worst things was as we got of the train a load of Foxes fans were at the station who started signing, I thought great they're gonna get a good vocal thrashing, not a titter, no one said a bloody word, I thought it odd and with hindsight should have got straight back on the tube and gone home.

Not sure how at is at West Ham but at Arsenal the atmosphere is different depending on the area of the stadium you are in. The cheaper seats and the ends behind the goals are better than that on the sides, whereas lower tier is better than upper tier. Tonight I am in the upper tier on the side, great seat (just behind where they put the cameras), but the atmosphere isn't as good.

Come to Newcastle at home and away and enjoy the atmosphere of some of the most passionate fans in the world. The same fans that went to Old Trafford and saw their team go 6-0 down only to continue singing their hearts out.

I do agree though and I'll use Liverpool for an example. 6 years ago Anfield was rocking and from my memories the best of this was a Champions league game against Juventus in which the chorus of ''You'll never walk alone'' nearly brought the stadium down. Same with Istanbul 2005. Unfortunately that great atmosphere at Liverpool and other clubs has just vanished over the years. Whether its down to the downfall of Liverpool and co who knows.

As for Tevez... Is he having a laugh? After all that farce of wanting to leave because of his family. Way to drop down another level Tevez you slimey git.

Ugh. The two guys behind me at the game were morons. They kept shouting at everything in game, always complaining, asking why players didn't do this and that (mostly they wanted perfect passes from across the field whilst under pressure), made xenophobic remarks about the French, racist remarks about other players, long periods of complaining whenever the slighest thing went wrong.

don't know whether to laugh or cry at that. did you say anything Damien? what was the overall atmosphere like? i watched it on skysports so didn't really feel the vibe, Lee Dixon quoted on the BBCs site saying it wasn't all that. the game itself was a pretty pathetic considering we had a handful of chances and ability to step it up a bit.

l am afraid thats one of the reasons why l like to watch sport on tv because when l went to sportings event there was always idiots either in front of me or behind me and to be perfectly honest they would get totally on my nerves and basically spoil it for me and my friend or partner and in the end we did not enjoy going anymore.

Tottenham have confirmed manager Harry Redknapp is to have minor heart surgery on Wednesday.

The 64-year-old was admitted to hospital on Tuesday night for tests and will have an operation on a minor blockage in one of his arteries.

Redknapp is unable to travel with the Tottenham squad to Russia for their Europa League fixture against Rubin Kazan on Thursday.

Spurs are in top spot in Group A, two points ahead of Greek side PAOK.

Assistant manager Kevin Bond and first-team coach Joe Jordan will assume first-team duties in Redknapp's absence.

It is not known how long Redknapp will be away from work, though an update is expected later on Wednesday at the club's news conference in Russia.

Redknapp told the Sun on Wednesday he was confident the problem would not stop him taking charge of Sunday's Premier League match at Fulham.

He said: "I'm hoping I can be back at work again in a couple of days.

Get well soon Harry.

We used to be like that, I remember drowning out Forrest fans for over an hour when we were 4-0 down in an FA cup semi at Villa park in the early '90's.

On a side note Billy Sharp played and scored last night 3 days after his 2 day old son died, people like Tevez should hang their heads in shame. He lifted his shirt to revel a t shirt saying 'that's for your son'.
