I have 2 hd boxes if I select movies and sports hd on the website will this be for both boxes on my account or only one?

Yep an also i have just noticed a gap between sky sports HD 2 on 517 and British Eurosport on 521 , maybe making way for sky sports 3 an 4 HD soonish heres hoping lol :D

There is also a gap or two in the numbers for the sky movie HD channels , maybe Sky movies classics HD launching August 9th will fit in their when it launches.


And there still seems to be testing going on from channels 888 to 892 but maybe this is still down to sky sports/movies testing. However there was 12 channels testing now theres just the five.


So any one got any info on the above. :)

Whilst I agree, you have to look at sky for this £7 charge its the only way they would allow VM to carry some of there HD services.

Sky may have forced a price,But VM are the ones who decided to except it.Clearly VM were more focused on selling the tv side than getting a good deal on the hd for there customers.Makes a mockery of the stance they took last time when sky tried to hike the price,stating it was for the good of there customers.They certainly didnt care this time:(

Cannot wait to hear what you find out and also the other posts stating the same. So hopefully we who are on the VIP pack should get some good news:erm: I personally think that if you are that angry with the charges there is a form on the VM website that you can make suggestions?

Maybe the test channels correspond to
Sky Sports 3 and 4 HD, ESPNA HD and Sky Sports News HD as there are 4 tests left

Hi all i have xl tv xl broadband and xl phone and skysports.
Rung up virgin about HD and he said they have to charge £7p/m as sky make them but kindly took £6 off the rest of my Bill :D

As i said before skys hd sub is £10 virgin's is £7 i relly feel virgin could lose customers to sky over this.

I can only confrim that Sky 1HD and Sky Arts HD will appear on Virgin soon.

I have ask my Insiders if they know if the full list of Sky Basic HD Channels are coming or just soon but they have no news.

Here is the full list of Sky Basic HD Channels:

Ordered mine for both boxes via the internet hope all goes well as from my experience with CS the last couple of days dont hold out much hope!

Remember Sky Sports HD is Sky's baby, it's massive USP and the only way they were gonna give it to VM was if they could soak up an extra cost from it. They were cornered by ofcom to give the HD for SS1 and SS2 at 'a fair reasonable price' not for no additional charge. Loads of people on here have in the past moaned and moaned about not being able to get Sky Sports HD and now it's here they're still moaning! You know, I looked at the guide for Sky Sports 3&4 and I can honestly say there is really nothing significantly in need of HD viewing cause the main stuff is on SS1/2. You've got the HD channels and if you don't mind paying only £3.50 extra per channel or much much less if you have movies as well to take advantage of your HD TV Set then go for it. If you don't want it, just don't get it in HD or don't get the channels at all, it's as simple as that really. :)
