Re: General TiVo Discussion Part 3
Well, why would people record from the likes of SKY 1 or SKY Atlantic or GOLD? Because people like watching different things.

---------- Post added at 20:21 ---------- Previous post was at 20:16 ---------- Since the TIVO interface change, the delay between selecting "My Shows" and actually getting to that list seems to be getting longer and longer... and the black screen does not instil confidence that it's doing something! |
Re: General TiVo Discussion Part 3
I guess this may be the wrong thread for this (apologies in advance mods, please can you suggest the most relevant thread for this to move to.) However, I am wondering why my TIVO does not produce as good a quality HD picture as my bluray player. I upgraded my bluray on Saturday, and the PQ on the Netflix app is massively improved than the TIVO app. Even on watching blurays on my old bluray player, the PQ of films was much better than the same film compared to when it was shown on TIVO. I have looked online and lots of people say there is no difference with gold plated or normal HDMI cables. However, I have a gold plated cable for my bluray and a normal cable for TIVO, and as I say the bluray player(s) has much better PQ. Do any of the knowledgeable peeps on here know much about the differences on cables? Is it worth me buying a new cable for the TIVO or is it just the TIVO not sending the best PQ through? Oh, the settings on TIVO say I am on 1080i if that makes a difference. It wont allow me to have 1080p.
