I have tried but can't recreate it, so either it doesn't happen every day, or there is some other subtlety that I've overlooked.

Well, BBC 4 has some good music documentaries on. And wasn't Orphan Black shown on BBC 3?

Well, why would people record from the likes of SKY 1 or SKY Atlantic or GOLD? Because people like watching different things.

I have regularly recorded music from BBC4 but not a lot else, although occasionally there is a tasty surprise.

Most of the foreign stuff on a Saturday night is pretty decent too.

Just added some movies on tv anywhere app to wish list to auto record.
Now loads of music programs on various channels are set to record.
Tried to delete but the same ones keeps coming back.

Anyone know if this is a bug

The wish list will record any program that has any of the words related to the wish list search you have put in the title, and will continue to do so until you cancel the wish list. I.E. if you have set a wish list for A Christmas Carol, the wish list will pick up any program on any with either "A" "Christmas" or "Carol" in the title (for example 100 greatest Christmas hits). I suggest you either the cancel the wish list and record the program's manually or edit the wish list options to make the TiVo look for movies only. Make sure you cancel the wish list when it has been recorded, or your TiVo will continue to look for movies/or shows long after you have seen the movie you want.

Hope this helps!!

Apologies.

i have found the problem. I added the movie "Non Stop" but I noticed that all the unwanted music recordings had non stop music in the title. Lol
took the movie out and all is well. Doh!!!

So basically as you have suggested so thanks harry_hitch.

No worries, it's a long time since I have setup a wish list, but there should be various sub headings you can use to filter out unwanted program's.

:td:

I've had problems, the same as you (I'm on that thread too). :(

Since the TIVO interface change, the delay between selecting "My Shows" and actually getting to that list seems to be getting longer and longer... and the black screen does not instil confidence that it's doing something!

Re: General TiVo Discussion Part 3

I guess this may be the wrong thread for this (apologies in advance mods, please can you suggest the most relevant thread for this to move to.) However, I am wondering why my TIVO does not produce as good a quality HD picture as my bluray player. I upgraded my bluray on Saturday, and the PQ on the Netflix app is massively improved than the TIVO app. Even on watching blurays on my old bluray player, the PQ of films was much better than the same film compared to when it was shown on TIVO. I have looked online and lots of people say there is no difference with gold plated or normal HDMI cables. However, I have a gold plated cable for my bluray and a normal cable for TIVO, and as I say the bluray player(s) has much better PQ. Do any of the knowledgeable peeps on here know much about the differences on cables? Is it worth me buying a new cable for the TIVO or is it just the TIVO not sending the best PQ through? Oh, the settings on TIVO say I am on 1080i if that makes a difference. It wont allow me to have 1080p.
