I take 4000 iu with vitamin k2 and will continue to do so the slight risk of hypercalcemia is alleviated by the K2 as it makes sure the calcium leaves your blood and goes where you want it

Google says no to direct sun exposure but we need direct skin exposure to outside light.

I spend some time sitting at a large window, I never get sunburn sitting here so does the glass remove the UV and therefore the vitamin D I'd receive? ;)

Yes it does.

Vitamin D production needs UVB, which is removed by glass.

Just had a brief reliving of the halcyon days of the early ‘80s, watching ABC and Human League at Millennium Square in Leeds.

Ballsy choices by Phil Oakey for the two encore songs - Being Boiled (released by the previous incarnation of Human League before some of them split off to form Heaven 17) and Together In Electric Dreams (solo effort by Phil Oakey with Giorgio Moroder).

Excellent night out, but my knee is letting me know it didn’t appreciate standing for three and a half hours…

Paul 10-07-2026 23:55

Re: The Happy Thought Thread

Seen Human League a few times in the last few years.
They always end with "Together in Electric Dreams", despite the fact it was never an actual Human League song.

I was very sad tonight... I went to this playground and I was sitting on the swings crying and all of a sudden I saw this beautiful kitty cat... I petted her fur,her tail,etc....

I dunno where she came from but she made me happier...

She had light coloured fur.. It was dark but she looked white or almost white :)

I would have loved it if she followed me home but its to far,her family would be worried about her...

I love kitty cats so much!! (MEOW)

Thank you for coming to see me kitty kitty!!

Love Amazon (sometimes). Ordered a case of wine, then got a message saying it was undeliverable, and to await a refund. Waited a week and chased them yesterday, they refunded straight away.

And surprise surprise, todays its delivered. Sometimes their incompetence can work in your favour.

Amazons CS pretty much always works in your favour. Few weeks ago I companied about a garden fork bending. Only cost 12 quid so what did I expect haha

CS said they could not refund that as it was a 3rd party seller but they could refund 2 other items instead values £16 so made £4

Then they similar ordered a twin pack of 60litre compost 1 arrived I complained they refunded and said keep it next day the second arrived

Re: The Happy Thought Thread

Amazon use to be good with those £5 promotions. I complained once to CS that I'm not buying anything right now so they added the £5 as credit to my account lol I done this for many years until recently when I got stonewalled.

I'm in the city with my shades on. Life's good. Just stay in your lane. :)

Amazon delivered to my communal area not front door therefore I marked it not received. They had a picture of someone taking possession of all the parcels that day, it wasn't me. They apologised in today's email giving me £10 off my next purchase. Everyone gets that perk I know but I'm just glad I got my account back sod the discount. Horrible feeling being banned. Essentially too many returns.

That's not far, walk it or dust off the push bike, it's better than the stress of worrying about someone else nicking your parcel.

It'll rain and be cold. Even if there is any cricket, you won't see it because of drunk football fans in fancy dress. They call it 'the Headingley experience'. Enjoy ;)

Today I have saved £69.

The dead phone from yesterday (see moans thread) has miraculously started working again.

It had a 'green screen of death'. no matter what I did, or the button combinations I tried, it wouldn't turn off/on, wouldn't reset, just kept showing me the horrible green screen. Couldn't get anything to show at all . . apart from the sickly green.

Having left it all night with the green screen laughing at me, this morning it was all blank, the constant screen being on had probably killed the battery.

On a whim I plugged the charger in . . and got a charging notification . . after 10 minutes I turned the phone on and it's fine.

I'm not a cynical chap (honest lol) but it makes me wonder . . :erm:
I *could* have bought a new phone yesterday, maybe even spent £500 on one . . that I didn't need due to a software glitch or (puts tinfoil hat on) a coded 'kill switch' :D

I was at the store last night and this beautiful lady came up to me and gave me a 15 dollar gift card and then a 10 dollar card!

I gave her a big hug and she said "You dont have to hug me" -- I cried and said there isnt many nice people out there anymore.....

I guess she does that for alot of people... She had to be at least 80,I dunno.... Very sweet of her!!

You need to stop hugging strangers like this you have done it before! What's with all the crying for a 45+ year old adult? You seem socially unusual in everything you say and do.
