Woke up this morning, runny nose, blocked ears and a throat that is sore I can't swallow easily. Off to GP soon.

Why off to gp for what sounds like a cold?

They won't be able to do anything for colds as antibiotics have no affect on colds and these remedies purchased from chemists are a load of rubbish too..

I always keep a throat spray in the house, it is really good, You can get them on the ailment scheme free.

Because whilst it would be a normal cold for others, for me a sore throat 9.9 times out of 10 develops into tonsilitis. Settled down so didn't bother going.

You should look into getting your tonsils taken out if they cause you alot of problems, although i am not sure what the official recommendation is now as we still don't know what they do! :)

In my day they generally took them out but the advice might be different nowadays.

I think these days they leave them alone unless they get repeat infections.

I might ask to look at having them removed. Especially as a case of tonsilitis results in me losing my voice for a month at least, although why tonsils should affect my voice I don't know.

Viz top tip:

Driving on full beam does not help you see further when driving in dense fog.

At least you had lights on. People here in Stevenage driving in dense fog with no lights on at all.

Fortunately I was referring to others who don't seem to know better. There used to be regular road safety ads on the tv with regards to driving in the fog for those who didn't pay enough attention during driving lessons.

Perhaps el gov should start showing them again.

I don't think of myself as paticularly forgiving but I am trying but when I get let down so often by the same person (13 times in a row) I have to wonder how forgiving I can be.

Disappointed.
