If the ITV on demand programmes that are not on catch up are going behind a paywall, hopefully VM will secure a deal to enable XL viewers to watch the programmes free. VM will need as many incentives as possible to keep their XL customers when BT take over from ESPN.

Cheers for info. Would be nice if they arrive before the second legs of the Europa cup.

Seen no updates on ITV HD launch date but I do not ask insiders anything on Fridays.

Will ask insiders on Monday for an update.

Bad news for WWE fans.

WWE WrestleMania 29 will cost £17.95 on Sky Box Office on April 7th.

I for one will be paying just to watch The Rock VS Cena.

That's a £3.00 jump on the usual price. I can see Froch Vs. Kessler II costing the same in May.

Wouldn't be so bad if you could record the broadcast to your TiVo or V+ box to watch again. Also wouldn't be so bad if SKY made SKY Box Office HD available on Virgin at that price.

Greed!

Q & A on Disney Cinemagic.

Q: WILL I NEED TO WATCH MY DISNEY CINEMAGIC PROGRAMMES ON MY V+ OR TIVO BOX BY MARCH 27TH?

A: No Virgin Media viewers have until June 28th to watch recorded Disney Cinemagic programmes.

But every USP has a limited shelf life. Surely Sky realise that? There must come a point when they've flogged a dead donkey (albeit a lively appealing one!) to those sitting on the fence.

If I were Sky, I would draw a line under it and be happy to have used Atlantic to draw in many new customers and and bring some over from other providers. Now it's time to get the channel out to as many people as possible, to gain additional advertising revenue and carriage costs.

Holding on to HD variations as exclusives might still be appealing enough for some to think about joining or moving.

Completely agree.

To be fair, Sky have good reason not to draw the line under it while they can see an obvious demand for Sky Atlantic on other platforms. They only have to look on here to see that the demand is there and they, most likely, see that as potential customers for their own platform.

The other option is to offer the channel to VM at a very high rate and attempt to force VM to raise the price of the XL package. Then they can sit back and wait to gain VM customers annoyed at such a large price increase.

You mean if the outcomes weren't determined prior to the event, because the wrestling is most certainly real.

Well said Jameseh:) Sports entertainment. Are movies real? No, story is predetermined doesn't mean it's not entertaining. Many sports like snooker and horse racing have been know to be fixed at least WWE is up front about it.
