Used it an hour after Tivo installed for a programme 2 hours later and worked fine.

I did call the Support line (and was put through to TiVo support) but she implied that no-one was able set recordings remotely yet.

I'll log a ticket on Virginmedia community unless anyone here has any suggestions.

Edit
Now when I try via the web I get a message "Sorry there's been a technical glitch and you won't be able to record this programme"

Yes! It's one of the few special features that I have managed to get to work as described. I have tried it on three occasions on different days as a trial. It worked as described each time.

There is a thread on the first page discussing the catch up problem.

What do you mean by first page? Can you be more specific please?:)

I spoke too soon. I just tried it and it has joined the rest of the extra features and is suffering a "technical hitch". This whole TiVo experience is fast becoming a "technical hitch"!

Well the picture looks the same in sd as it did on the V+ so i think people saying about the picture being slightly softer i would suggest just change the settings on your tv and see if that makes a difference.

the slightly annoying thing about remote record (working from PC but not mobile for me) is that without global padding, I can't set a pad, so if I'm on holiday and want to record something I know will probably run over, I'm out of luck.

A global padding feature would stop this. When can I expect this? ;)

another quick question.

Has anyone managed to program their Tivo remote to turn off the TV?

I was told I could hold down off and it would turn both off.

I've got a 42 inch toshiba VX series LCD. Anyone else had issues?

The remote does work for volume and mute.

Cheers

There is a seperate thread on this now, but have tried colours and options and just have to say the picture in SD and HD is not as crystal clear sharp as I had before, still investigating if anything can be done at TV end though.
