Mobile:

However, there are still ongoing errors...

The tables designate the packs as 1-6 but the key has them as 1-4 and 1-2.

Corrections to channel titles and/or numbers:

205 is Amazon Prime Video (also on 554)
228 is Virgin TV Ultra HD (also on 999)
315 is VH1 Christmas
330 is BoXmas
346 is NOW Christmas
348 is NOW 80s
419 is Christmas 24
420 is Christmas 24+
805 is SONY TV HD
806 is SONY MAX HD
808 is SONY MAX2

Just to note, that although the Channel Guide PDFs don't show Eden, Eden +1 and Eden HD as being included with the UKTV free viewing period, they are.

As long as we get the content, I am not too concerned about this. However, ultimately, it will all migrate to streaming and on demand. It's all part of a process.

On 7th January 5Spike will close and Paramount Network will take its slot according to their Twitter feed

Yep. Paramount is moving, and adding some of 5Spike's programmes to its schedule.

Looks like a cost saving merger of content based on the type of content shown in the video and there being no information about what the closing channel's space will be used for (so far).

I would imagine that this is just the start of a long process of rationalisation. Programmes are currently being spread too thin over all these channels. By having fewer channels, this should improve the overall content of those that remain, before they, too, are wound up in favour of an increased number of streaming services.

Maybe that day the SD version on Virgin will close and become HD only.
They have been in the same package since day one on Virgin

That was my first thought, but I know there is a 5Spike+1 so maybe they'll just change the SD version of Paramount into a +1 of it and use the vacated space as launch space for the Pluto app that is coming as part of the recent Viacom deal.

The other Channel 5 offshoots (5USA, 5STAR and 5SELECT) are all SD only, so I'd far rather they made use of the extra channel spaces created to give us the HD versions. I have not recorded anything from those channels for some time, but I may do so for one or two programmes if they were shown in HD.

Now 70's is launching on Channel 348 on December 27th. https://twitter.com/NOWMusic/status/1205804684201594880

Looking at the TV guide Now 80's is currently on channel 348 and that will replace Now Christmas on channel 346 on 27th December

Thank you, I hadn't realised that! I will re-think my viewing strategy.

No problem. There is the advertising trade-off though. Recordings are faster to get through.

Maybe Channel 5 will also finally go HD only on that day

They only have the one advertising region unlike Channel 4

Exactly, there's been nothing stopping them.
