Look like Virgin UK Channel 975 is set to close.

The Channel has been renamed on Sky but Virgin Media UK says "Oops We are Currently experiencing technical difficulties and cannot bring you this channel at the present time".

Also the Red Button has been removed.

Do what? as he has his strong opinions and l have mine.:erm:

You constantly dismiss anything that people assume might happen or if i have info.
Obviously no one is going to show you proof why would they give up their sources for you?

People can assume as much as they want as there is no law against it.

There are many different sources just like the football transfer market and look at that and see how much actually transpires at the end of the day.

Gosh! things are getting very heated around here. Who would have thought that this thread would offer more drama than ITV Encore?

:shocked::shocked::D

Hi what I mean is they shouldn’t hide that, as they said February so they should be keeping customers up to date

Maybe indicating that some other service had been scheduled to have been added at the same time?

Breaking news coming in tonight to Media Boy HQ from Media Boy Sources say the new PPV Slate is something to do with one of our DNP orders.

You raise a good point, what is the value of DNP orders? I liken it to a situation where the BBC releases details of a weeks TV programmes to the Radio Times, but orders the publishers not to print the information. The Radio Times then complies by replacing BBC programme details with a note that they know what the programmes are but have been ordered not to print the details.

I wonder what RT readers would make of that...

At a guess it is a slate to give more flexibility to PPV streams. If VM are to offer additional streams, the current arrangement could be a little restrictive. But a slate is just a slate, it's not a big deal. :D:D

Well, the adult PPV channel numbers are just static video streams (slates) serving as a promotional link to the NVOD streams carrying the actual content. The real story here is probably hidden away in the NVOD streams. At a guess, it's just another one of many adult channel rebrands, these seem to happen with monotonous regularity on satellite platforms.

So exec at a top media company is going to post on twitter sensitive information are they?
Or someone who maybe works in the marketing department who has confidential information is going to phone the Daily mail?
No sir there is a huge difference between the transfer market information and let's say telecom information.

This is the only up coming PPV event I'm aware of (Outwith SKY Box Office and ITV Box Office):

http://www.boxnation.com/boxing-matc...nady-golovkin/

Boxnation first confirmed this show would be PPV 2 months ago. Since then they've been quiet leading boxing fans to believe it had been scrapped. Boxnation posted the following on Twitter 2 days ago in replies to this event:

"Details released shortly mate. If you're a paying BoxNation subscriber then it's included in your subscription at no extra cost."

I understand this is their position on subscribers to the channel on SKY. How it'll work on Virgin Media

The BT website did suggest last week the fight would be on BT Sport. I'm unable to find reference to the fight on their website anymore.
