Stephen.
Just seen your comment re Celtic NOT playing in English football, if the vote is yes.

Is this the reason why certain papers in London are asking for the fans of Celtic and Rangers to vote NO.

As they WILL NOT be able to play in English football, if the vote is YES. I suggest you read the media.

I am NOT saying it, the media is.

Sickening. :(

No it's not and that is a pathetic thing to say/do.

However when you look at the rhetoric used by both sides it seems to me that the Yes group have resorted to this sort of thing far more than their opponents. Even their leaders have used direct threats!

Last word on the polls goes to the London Evening Standard, bizarrely. Don't know whether that's something to do with electoral law or not. Anyway, Ipsos-MORI have given No a 6-point lead, 53-47 excluding don't knows (Y45, N50, D/K 4). Bizarrely, it's been incorrectly plotted on the What Scotland Thinks website, so if you read it there first it looks like it's predicting a shock last-gasp surge for Yes. :erm: :D

I wasn't bothered about wether they would be excluded or where it was reported but that YOU said you thought it would be the wordt thing about a Yes win.

I'm sure Harry will be speaking with a few of your colleagues in the not too distant future.

I really am hoping a lot of those really vocal Yes mob end up chickening out and just vote No.

Just have to wait and see the final result.

Seeing what has happened with this referendum gives a good idea of what would happen if we ever get a chance to vote on leaving the EU. Pretty sure the politicians will soon start a campaign to influence and brainwash a "stay in" vote.

If Salmond was right and Cameron only said yes to the Scots having a referendum as he thought they had no chance, then I don't think he will risk giving us an EU referendum....

Well, after all the promises, it'll be political suicide for him and his party if he doesn't.

Question, can the Welsh vote for independence as if my history is correct the Welsh were conquered by the English (yes it was a few years ago.)

The Yes mob are still gathered on George Square. Waving flags and partying like they have won.

Wales has never been an independent country on anything like its current borders and it does not have its own body of law. Negotiating its independence would be a nightmare. It's pretty hard to see what the economic case for it would be. The Plaidos' case, so far as I can tell, is to voluntarily make Wales a vassal of Brussels. As with the Nats here in Scotland, you don't have to scratch far beneath the surface before you find "anyone but London, at any cost".

... and they could be just about to find out at what cost.

Well that's me voted, I was surprised at how quiet it was when I went at 4.15.
