Cable Forum - General Coming soon to Virgin TV 2014

One other poster here stated a date of 6th May for the Sky Sports HD channels then removed their post. Maybe their source asked them to because it shouldn't have been leaked?

An source has told me that Sky Sports HD Channels may come online before June.

I know the week that Virgin hope to launch them but cant post that info.

Sky1 +1, Pick +1, Sky Sports News HD and Sky News HD may launch on the same day.

But even if it was testing internally it wouldn't be anything Customer Services would know about, as those sort of things don't get briefed out to them

This is what makes me now think the cs rep i spoke to was possibly just telling me that it was being tested to get me to re-activate my tv services.
Didn't work though lol - yet anyway.

News in HD isn't it about tne stlries that they comment on that is the main point of news channels:confused:

I assume you meant stories. Yes, it's about stories, but SD pic can be fuzzy and not nice on my eyes when i watch hours at a time.

Virgin are certainly looking into it. I was on the VM website the other day and a popup box asked me to take a survey about VM. Some interesting questions and the whole survey was geared towards online and on demand content. One of the questions asked: Have you ever used Amazon Instant Video/Love Film Instant? I clicked yes and was then asked to rate certain things such as value for money, choice and usability. Yes it was 3 questions in a survey of 20+ but it shows they are at least looking into it.

Keep an eye out for:

Eurosport and Eurosport HD to move to new channel number. So that Virgin can make room for Sky Sports News HD and Sky Sports F1 HD to launch. It may take some days/weeks to do. Virgin did move Sky Sports 4 and Sky Sports News an day BEFORE adding Sky Sports 1 HD and Sky Sports 2 HD.

MB any indication the extra money for HD channels will be dropped by VM? at the moment we pay extra for sky sports hd etc. Will the increase in sport hd channels decrease this or increase this additional charge?

Sky sports news hd will be good. No point in sky withholding sky news hd either as we already have bbc news in hd
