Youtube videos always load slowly.

Even on the 10Gbit at work they're loading slowly.

This is not just a TBB issue. Effects on my normally excellent speedtests, confirm this for me. I think it is shows up more on TBB because of VM's well-known poor connection to their servers.

define cockup

4 or 5 days in a row, or whatever its been itsnt a cockup, its a pattern. You think a website hosted with NCUK are releasing TV episodes or something at that time causing massive amounts of data to saturate NCUK's bandwidth?[COLOR="Silver"]

affecting? looks like just an issue between TBB and VM

craig you missed my sub 5mbit speedtest then?

and a load of my .nl servers and youtube.

easy to not realise how bad it is when you have other connections to use like uni and sky FTTC. Some of us have VM as their only connection.

Interesting to see if a layer4traceroute produces similar impairment on UDP and TCP for say a 5min test to "pingbox1.thinkbroadband.com" during the fault period? ;)

https://www.cableforum.co.uk/images/...2012/10/48.png

got 5 young kids these days so testing around the clock is no no these days.

noticed the spikes on tBB a week or 2 ago but just thought it was the old hot tbb route VM runs an due to not using net around the clock every day didnt notice any slow down.

but last night both me an misses could not even get android mobile utube or vevo music vids to play last night even in low stream, instead of firing pc up to test i just ran the ping an dns android app to bbc.co.uk and avreage over 100 pings was well between 500 an 1000ms where during day on android ping sits about avg 32ms to bbc

well hacked off as i moaned to the top at ceo team email about 24/7 high ping and after a year an half it dropped by half to sit at max 30ms spikes with out the eve increase to spikes up to 100ms on bad nights

hope you boys an girls that have more time do find the dodge routes and slap vm around the head with the facts

good luck getting vm to own up, if plusnet had been on watch dog they would be mass appoliges on there froum and plenty of info given out on what they would be doing ect. hate how vm cs works or dosent should i say

if i get chance i will run ping plotter which is over etho to a choice of ip's.

any idea which routes are mainly being monitored by the rest of upset customers?

i was shocked to see bbc.co.uk pings so out of control to the point i changed US channel thinking it was the old upstream devil.

would be helpful for a list of ip's to be posted so i can just whack um into ping plotter an get on with settling kids  down tonight

right got to bolt now, bye bye to buffering, last night was bye bye to internet, an now fttc is maturing nicely i think its bye bye to vm once end of contract comes round in a long time

EDIT.
an for those that are under impression its a saturated link to a server farm mentioned earlyer an followed by a reply of its effecting more than a few isolated servers for those that havent got other options than to sole use vm connection, i just remembered that wensday night i tried using my vpn an that would not hold its connection even when transfering a few KB's that was to countrys canada, russia, sweeden, germany, singapore i assumed a bad day for vpn company an gave up but thinking now it was during the bad eve period it played up an for all servers to be effected. bolt signature stance pointing at vm

Re: Think Broadband Ping Monitor Results (POST YOURS)

30 minutes before 'blip' time. Pretty acceptable. This is what I get 24/7 until the dreaded evening 'blip'. I would just like to know from VM what they feel is the cause and what they are going to do about it. Is it temporary or permanent? If it's permanent then I will be asking for refunds.

I haven't had the promised Himalayan phone call yet.
