Re: Think Broadband Ping Monitor Results (POST YOURS)

Well I never... Looks like I have the ol' hump of doom as well. Can I just ask though, as I wasn't around to diagnose this further. Is this issue only happening with TBB, or if I was to do a ping test again BBC for e.g. would the results during this time reflect what the TBB monitor is saying?

Also, for the record, this is in Leeds, 100 Meg (xxl package with 5 meg up) with the router in modem mode and plugged into an Rt-N56U.

Most posted will be to show up some issue or other at a given time so won't be live graphs which is what was requested.

Re: Think Broadband Ping Monitor Results (POST YOURS)

You can take the date out the link and get the live graph, which is what I did for a lot of the original set, but its long hard work and much easier to open a message which contains the live link ;)

So its seems that between 8pm and 10pm there is something happening on the network as many people from different parts of the country are having the same issue.

Its unique to Virgin Customers as I have mentioned. If it happens again tonight, could a few people run tracert's to pingbox1.thinkbroadband.com

then we can see whats happening, my moneys on congestion at a linx peering point ;)

Re: Think Broadband Ping Monitor Results (POST YOURS)

It's not unique to Virgin customers, it just affects Virgin customers universally.

There are similar issues with BT as well, it's just a lot more random and doesn't affect everybody. In BT's case the problem occurs on TBB's network.

And here we go again! Mirrors exactly what has now happened three nights in a row. There must be something wrong in VM's network.
