I never noticed! All the channels are there. I thought we would be the last to get done too considering the size of the Baguley network. |

Is there no way for Virgin Customers in NI or Scotland to access ITVHD in the same way Sky and freesat customers in NI and Scotland can? |

It's not a excuse, it's a reason. ITV1 HD is a simulcast of ITV1 London in HD, the only reason you are getting the 853 channel is because the audio description feed is only broadcast on the London feed. It's a English/Welsh regional channel. we don't get STV or UTV :) |
Re: Coming Soon to Virgin TV (2010)
And here is the eventual reply from utv with my query:
Q. Dear utv, Itv told me that they forwarded my request below to yourselves but I have not had the courtesy of a reply. I would be grateful for your comments as it would appear that we are being denied itv HD programming because utv are going their own way. I predict that this will go the way of itv2 maybe 10 years ago when utv would allow cable to carry itv2 as a utv2 was running. Where did that go??? A: Thank you for your recent email regarding the launch of ITV1 HD. Sorry for the delay in my reply; I am just back from leave. We are currently in negotiations with ITV in order to provide a UTV HD channel in Northern Ireland in the near future. We appreciate when viewers take the time to contact us as your views are important and have been seen by UTV senior management. Best wishes, Sarah |
Re: Coming Soon to Virgin TV (2010)
I am a bit confused by all the changes, what exactly should
be showing either if is on air or just a slate, as i think i am missing some. whould some kind person on here put a list on new channels on either on either or just slates ,i know there is a list on post one but i am in a non ngtv area i think , and that's where the list confuses me. |

As ITV and ITV HD are available on Freesat, why shouldn't they be available on Virgin - after all, we are paying the same price as the rest of the UK. It couldn't be anything to do with the on-going financial arguments between STV & ITV could it? |

STV loses news bulletin contract.
A group of Scottish newspaper publishers has been named as preferred bidder to run the news service on STV. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/scotland/8586964.stm |
