Only one model would have been released since, the second would arrive as your contact ended.

I'm tempted, but have been put off by, well, it being a beta. Lots of reports of apps not working plus devices crashing and general instability... which is fair enough really as it's still an early beta. Maybe when it gets to beta 3 or 4...

Well Sky Go doesn't work and quite a few crashes at mo so I'm going to go back to iOS 6 I think

We'll, I've been using ios 7. I've found a few apps that either don't work at all (such as Wikipanion) or rarely work (apple's podcasting app), but most apps I have found do work, and I've found good substitutes for those that don't (such as iCatcher for podcasts).

The downside is that the phone reboots far more than it should, but it's far more stable than iOS 6 was at this stage, and also less power hungry (although I'm hoping that will improve, as power efficiency usually improves somewhat as the betas progress).

Personally, I feel that iOS 6 looks old fashioned now, and if I went back, I'd miss the increasingly Google Now like notification centre and the quick access control panel that you can use to control the volume, Wifi, Bluetoth, Airplane mode and a couple of other things from any app.

I have sold out and am returning to iPhone - tomorrow hopefully.

The last one I had was ios5 so I'm expecting good stuff, but what I was wondering was does anyone have a good idea of when ios7 is released - from the YouTube videos it does look better than 6.

Mind you I guess it doesn't matter that much as long as the accessibility is still just as good as it was on my iPhone 4.

iOS7 is due in September, with the next iPhone. The current rumours say 10th September.

I've been trying the beta - love it.

Well in that case I'll just wait and not try the beta ;-)

Cheers.

The only thing I ever used to jail break my iPhone was to get a control centre for switching off / on things like Bluetooth and Wi-Fi. I see that's in ios 7 do that's cool.

Was it easy to do?

Yes, very. 4s on 6.1.3 and it went like a dream. It was a bit slow to start which made a bit worried but it all went through really well. I'm liking the 'block caller' feature :)

Also if you sweep from the bottom to the top you get a list of helpful settings such as bluetooth, wi-fi, calculator, torch etc

Cheers. I may have to try. Just as long as I can restore to factory default if I need to
