I can never understand why there is so much of a delay from VM when other broadcastors are advertising it.

The only broadcaster advertising it is BT, as they are the only ones providing it so far..

The future looks grim for Virgin Imo unless they do something soon!

Really you do seem to have it in for Virgin methinks.

Do you think someone would pay 24 billion dollars for something and not do anything with it?

Exactly but some seem to have a clear lets attack Virgin agenda just for the sake of it.

I suppose until Liberty Global come out and clearly outline their intent, who knows what they are going to do.

If VM are putting the price again, then its a rip off for Sky Sports

It's always been a rip-off for Sky Sports Arthur. VM are putting the prices up because Sky have told VM they have to put the prices up. VM are not a charity and will, quite rightly, pass the cost onto those who can afford to, and are willing to continue to pay for it. Vote with your wallet and cancel it:)

Sorry Dave, was writing when you posted

Re: ESPN, BT, Euro, Premier and Sky Sports news

I found out the price by dialling 150 and subscribing to Sky Sports via the automated route and that's where it warns you about the price rise from October. Once again, only 1 ******* box has been upgraded though. I'm sorry about the starred out expletive but they always do that! It just makes I want to scream!

Anyway, with HD, it's gonna be either £36 or £36.50 which is a lot of money plus the £12 that we might have to pay for BT Sports. Not good.

As long as people are willing to pay the ever increasing prices nothing will change. Not until the channel owners start losing money hand over fist will they look at the business model. The only way to keep prices reasonable in the long term is a concerted en-mass cancellation of your subscription. Trust me, I did it a number of years ago and it was way easier than giving up smoking (which I've still failed to do!!)

Cheers

Grim

Still a hell of a lot cheaper than actually attending a single match.
