Compare them with the one at the bottom, which was the original UK ad for the product. What a waste of time that was

Carl, I love it, particularly the policeman! Classic!!:clap::clap:

Setting up my last reminders. Going to miss them. I'll be missing out on the start of a lot of live events from now on.

Wonder where the tombstone will be placed... :P

Just because you record something does not mean that you cannot watch it at the same time. Like I said, it helps with any possible interruptions you may get.

I have never said don't watch it live. My (and others) point has always only been that, instead of setting a reminder, you simply set it to record.

Why? Just set it to record instead. I really don't see a problem here. When you set a reminder, you sit down and watch it, right? Well, just set it to record and do the same thing.

Its all about having views and opinions, if everybody had the same opinion life would be boring.

Yes, but you dismissed Stephen's (and mine and a few others) view and opinion as "uter [sic] nonsense". Of course, if we did that to you I'm sure you wouldn't have a problem, right?

I really think were just going to have to agree some people use them, some dont.
No one is going to change anyone's mind by the looks of things!
Some people just love that record button!

Why would I need to record it , if I intend to watch it live ?

My take on reminders is this, say tonight's football comes on at 7.30pm and Im intending to watch it live but happen to be catching up on some news , I can set a reminder which automatically alerts me that the football is about to start which I can select and it turns over for me and effectively stops me clock watching.

Its a left over feature from before there were PVRs that is all we are trying to get across.

Even when I had my V+ I never ever used the reminder feature. Last time I set one was back when I still had a Pace STB!
