I think it only 'came to light' with all the furore about the decision, they obviously had to find something that supported it.

Apparently a 'sound' was detected as the ball was in the vicinity of the players head . . some wildly brilliant answers on social media have suggested things like a fly farting or the ball hitting a small moth. ;)

Reports England v Mexico to be moved to 7pm UK time. Rain and thunderstorms forecast for the original slot.

Leave it as it is, English players are used to a good downpour :D

England game moved to 7pm UK time Sunday. Allegedly due to a dodgy weather forecast. More likely FIFA can make more advertising revenue at this time. Wonder if the pubs will stiill be open all night, to drown England's sorrows and have a bit of fight before work/ signing on?

Well, after all that, they pulled a Starmer, so it remains at its original time.

Well they equalised to take it into extra time, and now its 2 - 2 (with a stunning 2nd equalizer) so they still have a real chance.

Bit of a fiasco from FIFA and if the game ends up being held up before or during the game there'll be hell to pay.

Folarin Balogun is available to play for the United States in their World Cup last-16 tie against Belgium after his one-game ban was suspended by Fifa.

The 25-year-old striker was shown a straight red card for a foul on Bosnia-Herzegovina defender Tarik Muharemovic as the co-hosts won their last-16 tie 2-0.

Fifa said that the ban will be suspended for a year.

If it's not bribery it's got to be something else. Rules vs money.

Norway are all over Brazil, but can’t find the net.

Expect Brazil to grab a goal at the death.
