We have been redirected here but it isn't a coming soon thread. It's all baseless speculation.

The thread is what it is and most are happy with that.:)

Sky Atlantic, because for those who like critically acclaimed US drama, that's a massive source, which VM are lacking

HD channels, for the obvious reason that the picture looks much better, and excluding the ITV channels, you get 5.1 audio.

People don't want "more and more", they want the quality in content and PQ that is currently lacking in some areas via VM.

I'd agree with that in a way as I do want the channel. But I think it's more "as I don't have the channel yet syndrome"

I'm here really because I want additional channels whatever they are and that I really like a lot of people on here

Correct.

As an aside, Superblade has spotted on Den's tv shows coming soon thread that Atlantic show Banshee is being shown on Sky One. Anything to be read in to that?

Absolutely bang on. This is another reason I'm a TiVo refusenik. Why in god's name would I want more TV suggested to me? What a barmy gadget!

If you think 'Suggestions' is the only advantage of Tivo over V+, then maybe you should look again at Tivo's functionality?

Exactly, which is why there should be two.

I dont watch "lots" of tv but I do work from home so I do have a bit more time to watch TV. I do sometimes struggle to find something to watch so choice is better.

I don't think there is a need for another thread personally, however, I must admit very little of the last two pages has anything to do with "coming soon to vm" :)

I go through phases where I turn suggestions on and off, most times I find new shows to watch but other times I find it records a load of rubbish.

2 of my friends have done it kept xl phone and xl broadband £45.00 per month then go sky on half price deal £36.25 per month for that you get the best catch up services all sports and movie channels in glorious hd (that's all sports folk) and you can watch them all on the excellent sky go service which is light year ahead of that tv anywhere service we suffer and for a extra £5 you can download (watch when offline)and get catch up and box sets on sky go also so for £81.25 per month you have the best telly and broadband and if u really need your bt sports fix add £15 which makes it £96.25 still coming in cheaper than the VIP so called pack ;)

Only downside is no TiVo but is TiVo really worth a 6.8% or whatever it is prise rise

You get a free 2 month trial of Sky go extra now bud , there are some codes floating about to get it at 6 months for £2.50p/m instead of £5p/m.

MGMHD is to launch first quarter of 2014 not last week as i originally posted.

How reliable is this information, theone? The reason I ask is that MGMHD is most likely to launch at the same time as Sky Atlantic. If correct, it indicates to me that the launch date has been postponed yet again.

I only know about what was planned, but I have not heard anything about postponements (not that this means anything in itself). Unfortunately, launch dates are prone to change and it would be a shame indeed if we had to wait even longer for the one channel that is a glaring omission in VM's offering.
