Games are registered to your account not the console, anyway is there any truth in this rumour?

Personally i would rather buy my own console rather than rent 1.

On a programme review show that I have just seen, it says that Netflix is showing a new series called 'Breaking Bad'.

Netflix also shows original content too such as the fantasic "orange is the new black" and "Hemlock Grove" to name just two of Netflix own shows.

I'd imagine your PS4 account would be linked to your PSN+ account so you would have to top up your PSN+ account to get the games but those games will be yours to keep then regardless of if you have to return the PS4 to vm for whatever reason or not.
If Sony keep psn+ similar to how it is now you will be able to play psn content on two machines , if you say give the ps4 back to VM you will simply deactivate that console via your Sony entertainment account , this then frees up the account to be used on a new machine.
These are only rumourted talks at the moment but Sony themselves announced at Gamescom they have a deal with Virgin Media and a couple of other networks regarding the PS4.
As soon as i know more and i'm given the all clear to say something i will post on here.

The deal was related to network facilities to make online gaming smoother similar to how Netflix partnered with networks when launching SuperHD

It's nothing to do with selling consoles.

Netflix also produced and are the first broadcasters for;

- Arrested Development (Season 4)
- House of Cards (Season 1 and soon to be made Season 2)
- Orange is the New Black (season 1)

And a few other shows but those are just off the top of my head

Sounds like they are doing what Sky did to gain subscribers- picking up the rights for successful series, so that those following it have to change to the new rights holders service to continue to be able to do so.

But how if true their going to include a ps4 on vip on rental basis does that include free repairs etc

Or they doing a similar thing that microsoft is doing where you pay higher for online live where u payback so much each month until paid off like a zero interest rate

Any rental contracts that I've entered into, for commercial or personal use, has included free repairs, so I would imagine that free repairs would be included in such a scheme.

Some people find it beneficial to rent in the fast changing world of technology (in the same way that many people rented their colour TV's at first)

Some of the benefits to renting are free repairs, no initial financial outlay and the ability to upgrade easily to new models.

Not really, Breaking Bad failed to take off when shown on Channel Five or Fox http://www.tvwise.co.uk/2012/03/brea...k-broadcaster/

All i can say is LG want to change the the current packages and have huge plans to overhauil everything and really challenge Sky in terms of value.

there's nothing there in your quote that is any different to now if I want sports ill order it picturebox is the worse on demand film to subscribe to lovefilm and Netflix you can get on any platform / smart tv so unless it was to be free it would really be worthless to do.
as for value against sky that's easy lower the price.

People are attracted by short term offers and lots of content. Lowering the price merely makes you look like the budget option, and that's not always an attractive proposition.

I've asked several times in posts as to why people, who really want Netflix, are waiting for it to be added to Tivo when it is relatively cheap and easy to get it via other devices. And this is true. But although for me and others, adding a separate device is a breeze, for some it is not.

But there are other groups of people to whom Netflix is not essential, but they would like to have it if it was easily accessible. But of those people, not everyone has a smart TV, and won't go out and buy a new TV just to get the 'smart' features. I have two 40" Sony 'non-smart' TVs which give an excellent picture, so there is no way I would waste money buying a new TV just for the smart bit. There are millions of people like me who buy a new TV when they need one, not just when a new feature gets added, And then there is internet connectivity; not everyone knows how to hook up their smart TV to a router. With Tivo, you don't need a separate internet connection.

So for loads of people, adding Netflix to Tivo will be a good, worthwhile thing, not a worthless one

And there is one other advantage; Netflix titles will be include in Tivo show searches, with presumably a direct link to play the show via Netflix.

Hi guys please excuse this one-off off topic question.

On Friday evening I saw an advert on Channel 4 with regard to catching up on previous series of "HOMELAND". Great I thought as I missed the last 3 episodes of Season 2. On looking through the menus on my TiVo box I cannot find it... Catch up on 4OD the ad stated.

Please if anyone knows how to find it I would be grateful. Season 3 starts 9pm tonight.
thanks:)

Netflix added to Tivo would certainly make things easier for some people.
Me personally i run a 10metre HDMI cable from my pc to my tv and i use my pc to watch Netflix , sometimes i use my PS3 too if that's already switched on.
As you also mentioned with Netflix titles being included in the Tivo listings search will be a huge advantage.

Did a search on all On Demand content and cannot find it myself, so looks like it's only online. You can find it at http://www.channel4.com/programmes/homeland/4od.

Hope this helps.

Currently not showing on Sky either , I've checked the 4oD app on my PS3 and Season 2 Episodes 8-12 are available , they are also available on my YouView box so it would appear its only available via 4oD using the connected app or via a computer.

Not sure about Tivo, but you can watch them via 4OD on the web.
