Turkey and Syria have claimed that Israel is carrying out a holocaust in Gaza. Erdogan and Assad said it was "essential that Arab and Islamic countries intervene to force Israel to immediately halt this holocaust against an unarmed population,"

So If I read this right, Turkey & Syria want Arab & Islamic countries to go to war with Israel?

Is this actually news!

Turkey is a staunch supporter of America and Israel. But they are disgusted at the behaviour of the Israelis, so yes, this is news.

That's not how I read it..I read it that they will be unifying in opposition. If Turkey wants to join Europe then they can't be declaring war on Israel or encouraging others to do so.

But the americans, and UK see this as fighting the War on Terror not butchering innocents. So its unlikely they will want to get involved.

You also have to wonder what Israel have to hide by continuing to prevent international reporters entering Gaza. Do they not want the world to see what they have done? In detail, as opposed to the limited footage that we do see?

I think they're fully aware of the carnage that's being caused, but while they seem to consider the death toll to be regrettable-yet-acceptable, they know the rest of the world will not. I doubt they would express it in those terms though, I suspect they would claim that Hamas would not allow journos free reign in the territory either, but would attempt to control where and when filming could take place, thereby (if possible) painting an even bleaker picture of what's happening. There is of course also the risk of foreign nationals being killed by Israeli bombs, with all the diplomatic complications that would bring.

The Hamas rockets have range up to 26 miles (and very inaccurate), if they could go 5-6 miles further then this will be a potential target.

And who could have any doubt that if Hamas had the capability to hit Dimona, then they wouldn't hesitate.:nutter:
