bit late I know, but a couple of 3am Thursday morning shots of something the drunks threw up overnight :)

Very many thanks for that Iadom.

As it happens, Mrs A came home early this afternoon so we went to Meltham via Greenfield to borrow some skis for her. We must have gone through Greenfield at about 5 o'clock but I didn't recognise you anywhere ;)

The snow did look a bit wet mind so I think we need to look for some height. Our current plan is to meet up at the top of Woodhead on Sunday morning and, if the conditions are okay, glide our way over to the Snake Inn for lunch. Gliding back after lunch should be fun :D

Still, thanks again for the info. It saved us a long trudge up to the N Yorks moors.

Well, we got there and had a great time. We could have done with more snow - especially when we got a bit lower and ended up breaking through it into the heather beneath. Otherwise conditions were excellent. Nice and cold with intermittent strong sunshine. Our lunchtime picnic was very 'alpine'.

Tons and tons of snow. So much it must have done something to the power lines which caused a surge at my end :erm:

Lukily everything I have is on a surge protector, but even with that it caused my router to crash :(

got some lovely big flakes here in selly oak. its even settling onto my road with an inch-thick layer of grit on it.... interesting :erm:

Well yesterday and today we had hailstones that settled on the car windscreen to look like snow - horrible thunderstorms yesterday too - and it was sooooooo cold!

The snow only lasted for few minutes at a time (it kept trying through the day), yet it was a really sunny day, which made it seem strange. :)

It's bluddy freezing in Hyde and was trying to snow before

it snowed in the town i work in this afternoon....
was quite amusing my friend was working upstairs and we called her down to see the snow... no sooner had she got down the stairs the snow stopped... think she thought we were lying. lol

so much for british summer :erm:

It was very windy today - really cold, too, we had one flurry of snow that was just being blown horizontally past the windows:eek:

When I left work the high tide was just starting to be blown over the 'sea wall' :erm:

It is supposed to get better over the weekend :)

There was an inch or two of snow on the hills above us this morning, and as I was getting my take away from the local Italian tonight, a large gritter lorry went past with the lights flashing..so much for global warming.:(

Been snowing on and off all day. Bloody perishing at the moment. Sat here looking like a refugee :D
