I bet United fielded there youth team again, this is what they think of cup competition - they always field a weak side. Good luck to Dons.

Good question to ask members - the Carling Cup. Will all the major clubs be competing. I haven't seen Spurs on the draw yet.

Can't believe tonights result, totally outclassed them, cut them to pieces in the first half then we concede the softest of own goals, still might not make many more matches this season so can't be to picky.

I'm sorry but that excuse doesn't wash with me those selected players should have been able to compete with MK Dons , the midfield was woeful they hardly strung a pass together the whole night.

People keep highlighting United's defence and whilst I agree it needs work I believe its the midfield causing the big issues. With a midfield who are consistently giving the ball away your defence is always going to come under increased pressure.

It looks the more acceptable one out of the English teams. We've made it difficult for ourselves the last couple of years though, so it can still go tits up ;) You have to look at the League fixtures before and after each matchday as well, and they also seem to be quite kind.

I'd be very surprised if they let him go off without having someone lined up. Depending on what you believe about his wages, it's likely to have freed up around £16 million towards a package for whoever replaces him.

Chelsea are in talks to sign Loic Remy from Queens Park Rangers after finally cutting their losses and allowing Fernando Torres to join AC Milan on a two-year deal for free to end one of the most disastrous moves in Premier League history.

IMHO the Champions League should exactly that, the individual champions and no one else.

As much as that sounds right, tv revenue won't allow it. If they want to get some modicum of respect back, start making sensible decisions, for instance, as said above, pot 1 for actually champions etc etc

Maybe that needs to be done.

One for champions, knock out at start, random draw.

One for cup winners, kock out...etc as above

And one for higher profile leagues, who earned extra places due to standards (2 from germany, england etc).

At near end of season, winners of all three, plus a playoff of the runners up to get the 4th place, then do a mini-knock out.

So you get winners of their individual cups, and an overall champion.

Crazy, I know...but I do crazy on a saturday morning :D

Taider apparently couldn't come to terms with our fitness requirements!

Algerian international Saphir Taider is set to complete a loan move away from Southampton before kicking a ball for the club.
BBC Radio Solent understands that the midfielder has failed to adapt to the physical training demands under Ronald Koeman.
He is now set to join Sassuolo despite being on a season-long from Inter.
