Well after a lot of thought, and many offers from Sky, I have decided to go back to Sky, the half price offer for 12 months could no longer be ignored. Thanks TiVo it's been an experience.

The PVR is now referred to as Sky+HD (DRX890) and the 2TB Sky+HD is (DRX896) Your existing 1TB should be a (DRX895) I believe. |

Not sure where to post this, so sorry if it's in the wrong place, but just found out that Now TV, which, at this time, is effectively Sky Movies, currently has a special offer price of £8.99 p/m. Is this because the original £15 was not bringing in punters when compared to the £5/6 of Lovefilm and Netflix? I wonder how long the offer will go on for?

Re: General Sky TV Discussion
Sky always have offers for Movies and Sports , as a Sky Sports subscriber I pay an additional £8.00 a month for Sky Movies which to me represents value when compared to Lovefilm and Netflix's older movie offerings.

Re: General Sky TV Discussion
Well Sky is back in :) , new EPG loaded and On Demand set up on to 1 tb box, like the way you can record programmes from BBC iPlayer into your planner.
Got DRX890 500 gb box for multi room. Will this get new EPG also? Loving the iPad app for Sky+ , sorry it's a lot better than the Tivo one. Sorry Virgin I tried to like your TV service but I needed to "believe in better" you may pay a bit more for Sky but it is worth it. |

To update your multiroom box , do the following 1.Turn the box off at the wall 2. Press and hold the backup button on the top of your box and flick it on at the wall only release the backup button when you see 'Updating system software' on screen. This should take 5-10 mins and should result in you having the new EPG. Keep us posted how you get on. |

Re: General Sky TV Discussion
I have On demand working on main box, I have got homeplugs set up on second box, shows that network is connected, but I have no on demand content. Do I need to contact Sky to activate it on other box?

Re: General Sky TV Discussion

Go into Settings - Details and write down your viewing card number so as they know which account needs activating. |

Now you have both boxes networked , the Sky+ ipad app should allow you to control them both. You should also be able to see both boxes listed by going into settings then Sky+HD box connectivity , this will allow you to change boxes and schedule recording across them both. |

The iPad app is awsome. As was mentioned in an earlier post it suggests other showings if there is a recording clash. I sure in future updates it will just move the recording for you. Spent a big chunk of my day watching movies in better HD quality than Virgin, and finding my way around the apps. |
