he's a good manager and puts his heart and soul into the job. Looking at who theplayers are there isn't much to work with there and so it's no wonder they are down the bottom.. without pearce they could have been worse off and unless they invest alot in the team whoever takes over won't do any better

He is responsible for bringing them in though, what cash he has had has been wasted, I don't think he has made one decent signing, if it weren't for their youth set up they'd be in the Championship and the new owners wouldn't like the idea of him wasting their millions, better he goes now, that said, it wouldn't shock me to see him make a good job of the under 21s

I am sure that Warnock put a weakened team out at Old Trafford recently, as they were playing Charlton on the Saturday ( I wonder which game gave the better chance of some points ;) ). I bet Chelsea loved that...

How did this man build up such a good business when he is so thick, he can't be serious, all Tevez had to do was sign the same contract with the dodgy paragraph removed

Really? Didn't surprise me at all, you just can't keep Big Sam down.

Jumping from a solid job at Bolton with Newcastle was/is a big risk though.

Maybe there was something behind the scenes at Bolton holding Big Sam back that he didn't like.

If Bolton had beaten Arsenal then he would have probably stayed. It was after the arsenal match that he resigned but it didn't come out for a few weeks. But it seems like he thinks he has taken them as far as he can.

Lack of ambition for a start, they didn't have the will to compete, top managers are multi millionaires anyway, why go through the motions when you could go for something money can't buy, trophies, who will remember him in 50 years if he'd continued at Bolton and won nothing, whereas the manager that finally wins something at Newcastle will achieve legendary status forevermore, worth the risk imo

If he doesn't bring instant sucess and/or they head downward, then his career and legacy would be ruined. He must have a lot of faith that he can do better than 7th in the league.

Being in charge of the 7th best team in the UK isn't a bad thing i'd thought, and Bolton are still in UEFA.

Course he has faith, how would you cope with the ego's of modern footballers if you didn't have a bit of one yourself and I think he'll be given a bit of time to

Judging by the reported size of the contract I can't see him being sacked too soon.

Not as good as these guys

Meanwhile, MP's are calling on the Premier League to "clarify the rules" over third party owenership.
Nine MP's have signed a House of Commons motion condemning the decision as "lenient" saying it shows that "advantage can be gained by cheating".

Spaffing off as usual without being aware of the facts, although when it comes to dishonesty, cheating and not telling the truth your average MP could teach us all a thing or two
