It an long shot but...

Maybe ITV HD Channels did not launch today due to Virgin Media thinking about doing my ideal ITV Channel lineup!

Also The Afrca Channel was set to launch on October 2nd but did not launch until October 11th.

C'mon guys, does everything you plan to do turn out OK first time every time? I'm sure that as soon as this unforeseen hitch is resolved the channels will appear. It's not as if they've been advertising the launch of these channels with much fanfare over a considerable timespan!

Most people will be unaware of the intended launch anyways.

It's a delay and everyone has already been waiting for so long it's not such a big deal. As long as it is sorted out quickly.

We have this all the time from VM, They get everyone worked up and then we expect it then - bang.

Yes, we get told by VM that these are going to launch and then they don't. I used to have a phrase ' VM could not organise a ---- in a brewery, as they would get it wrong. I know that l might get a rollicking from the CFT for the cut out word,. but this always happens on VM. agh

IMO it's not Virginmedia getting everyone worked up, it's the posting of rumours from so called sources.

To be fair MB sources were spot on this time,I know its not always been the case. Its VM who have suddenly delayed them.

If it's a technical hitch, I would imagine it would be resolved today. VM didn't state what time the new ITV HD channels would launch, just a date, so some of you really need to count to 10 and relax!! ;)

If it's put of till another time, then there will be a decent enough reason for it - watch this space...
