People should be careful taking any updates at this point.. I wouldnt put it past M$ to send out stuff to make the PC not work as well to try and force ppl to the newer OS! (They have done stuff like that before)

There has never been anything stopping anyone on windows 10 from upgrading bar the few on an older AMD apu that might struggle with GFX drivers. Only ever seen this once out of loads

Re: [Update] Windows 10 Discussion
Well I was considering "Windows 10 IoT Enterprise LTSC" but in order to get that, it's expensive and iirc still requires the "we want to sell your data" account aka a "Microsoft account".
I have now installed Nobara Linux and giving it a shot, the only thing that will cause me to go back to Windows at this point is if I cannot get the games I want to play to work without issue or lower performance by more than 10%. |

I’m sure I read a report which claimed that some 17% of PCs were still on Windows 10, which I think is a low estimate. |
Re: [Update] Windows 10 Discussion
According to Statcounter these are the numbers from June 2026.
Desktop Windows Version Market Share Worldwide - June 2026 Win11 69.92% Win10 28.1% Win7 1.67% WinXP 0.17% Win8.1 0.09% Win8 0.03% Desktop Operating System Market Share Worldwide - June 2026 Windows 56.61% Unknown 21.45% OS X 11.89% macOS 4.48% Linux 4.36% Chrome OS 1.21% There is some questions being asked by PCMag and others though because of the "Unknown Os" and apparently it was removed but it still shows for me. |

Microsoft are now installing spyware on PC's on behalf of LG and it does it without your consent.
