Already works, go to: virginmedia.com/tvguide form pc or mobile phone sign into your account (VM email details) and away you go, I have been using it today and it's a little buggy at the mo if i'm honest.

I think the Sky box can be setup that way

I read somewhere that the TiVo delivery will all be IP addressed based so presumably that could be done if the software is written

It already works, if you log in to yourt account on the VM site and then go to the TV Guide you can remotely set recordings.

There will also be an iPad app coming out eventually.

I was just excited about the letter I received today! Still no call and the TiVo guy at virgin told me that all registered customers would be called by the end of today.

I would say they would need about 285 staff making 20000 calls today that 285 staff making 70 calls on a 7 hr shift or 10 calls an hour , think your right can't see that happening unless theyve recruited a few people or Delhi are doing the calls LOL :D

Virginmedia certainly seem to operate in a crazy way.

The first people to get Tivo weren't even Virginmedia customers they were S1 Tivo users in there network areas.

Then they give "there best 1000" customers free Tivo boxes with free install and free lifetime Tivo subs.

What keeps companies like sky/VM going is there "bread an butter" customers. The people who cant afford the best of everything but are loyal and pay regualrly and ontime.

Virgin have just completely alienated the "bread and butter" ignore them an kept them in the dark. I bet Virginmedia have a lot more middle tear customers the top tear.

No matter how loyal you feel to VM you have to addmit this Tivo launch has been a complete disaster.
