And putting the production quality aside, it has just the right look and feel to it as well.

I think it has been mentioned previously that a new Quantum Leap was in the works. This is now confirmed for the 2022-2023 tv season and a bit more information is provided below:

Now, nearly 30 years later, it looks like the mystery of what happened to Sam Beckett could be solved. While some outlets are calling this a “reboot”, it’s more of a “sequel” as there are definitely some story connections to the original. According to NBC, “It’s been 30 years since Dr. Sam Beckett stepped into the Quantum Leap accelerator and vanished. Now a new team has been assembled to restart the project in the hopes of understanding the mysteries behind the machine and the man who created it.

As per my post in January.

Pilot ordered by NBC for Quantum Leap reboot.

NBC must have liked the pilot and ordered a first season presumably.

We don't know as all you have done is post a quote from who knows where or who and may be fact/fiction or rumour.

Here's further.

Quote:

Earlier this year reports came out that NBC was shooting a reboot of the cult classic sci-fi series, Quantum Leap, and now we have learned that the pilot has been ordered to series at the network. It has been thirty years since Dr. Sam Beckett (Scott Bakula) stepped into the Quantum Leap accelerator and vanished, and now a new team has been assembled to restart the project, seeking to unravel the mysteries behind the machine and the man who created it. In other words, the reboot is picking up where things left off, and it sounds like it is more of a sequel than a hard restart. It seems fitting that this news would arrive on May 5th, exactly twenty-nine years to the day that the credits rolled for the last time on the series.

Thank ****, it has been long enough. I feel like we need a double season to make up for it.

You have repeatedly invoked the Site swear filter over the last few days - this is against Site T&Cs.

Can you please refrain from this behaviour- any more occurrences of this will incur infractions.

This is serendipitous because I was thinking about this this morning and how long it has been since I have watched it:

Quote:

The “True Lies” series adaptation has been ordered at CBS for the 2022-2023 broadcast season.

The series order comes after the show was originally ordered to pilot at CBS in February 2021 before it was pushed off-cycle for consideration during this year’s pilot season.

In the series, an unfulfilled suburban housewife (Ginger Gonzaga) is shocked to discover that her bland and unremarkable computer consultant husband (Steve Howey) is a skilled international spy. She is propelled into a life of danger and adventure when she’s recruited to work alongside him to save the world as they try to revitalize their passionless marriage.

Doctor Who: David Tennant and Catherine Tate to return

Whoop Whoop maybe

Good news, I guess, although it remains to be seen how they get slotted in.
They come from one of its best periods, before it was destroyed by all the PC BS.

Hot off the news that Ncuti Gatwa will be the next actor to play the iconic time traveling Doctor, BBC’s “Doctor Who” has announced that former stars David Tennant and Catherine Tate will return to the series in some capacity next season. Their appearances will help mark the 60th anniversary of the sci-fi show, along with the return of Russell T Davies, who presided over some of the show’s most acclaimed seasons, as showrunner.

“It looks impossible,” Davies said about the news. “First, we announce a new Doctor, and then an old Doctor, along with the wonderful Donna, what on earth is happening? Maybe this is a missing story. Or a parallel world. Or a dream, or a trick, or a flashback. The only thing I can confirm is that it’s going to be spectacular, as two of our greatest stars reunite for the battle of a lifetime.
It sounds more like a nostalgic anniversary guest appearance than a meaningful recurring role. They need to be careful that they don't upset the new dude and he spits his dummy out.
