If l was Clattenburg, l would take legal proceedings against Chelsea, it proves that they are a bunch of liars, and think that they are gods.

Action will taken against the player who made the accusations and l am sure Chelsea will agree in private a compensation deal with Mark Clattenburg for the trouble and slight to his reputation this has caused.

Re: Football Season 2012/2013

The action against Mikel isn't because he made the allegations (it was actually Ramires) but because he swore and confronted the Clattenburg after the game. No action will, or should, be taken against Chelsea because it hasn't been proven that they made the allegation in bad faith. They had a duty to report a incident in which one of their players felt they had been racially abused.

It seems that Clattenburg likely said 'shut up Mikel' and Ramires, whose English is poor, went to Mikel to confirm what was said and Mikel had been heard as monkey.

Arsenal have extended the deal with the Emirates for stadium/shirt sponsorship for 5 years. £150 million.

http://www.arsenal.com/newemiratesdeal

Puts us second behind United in terms of sponsorship but it includes stadium as well.

30m a season :erm: Utd will get 45m a season from 2014. I'm not too happy with the length and extension for stadium naming rights but hey ho on we go.

Just be thankful for small mercies as at least you have got a nice new stadium as we are still waiting for ours.

United are significantly bigger than us worldwide. We're second at the moment and have gotten more than Barcelona and Real Madrid for their shirt sponsorships and a nice sum on top of that for the stadium. The stadium obviously means we haven't trounced Barcelona or Madrid, we've probably matched them or just come under them in the case of Barca, but it's hard to quantify how much the stadium rights were worth.

So not too bad. Don't mind the stadium keeping the name, it's what I know it as anyway.

I understand the money. The shirt deal looks good even though it could well become low in value when the deal comes to an end, basically in the final 1-2 years. Its the stadium rights. I know the current deal had years running so negotiating was a must still I think its been undervalued. I need a break down of it all. Our rep is huge even throughout our decline we're still well respected.

I'm not happy.

Why aren't you happy? Everyone else is praising the deal, the AST, Swiss Ramble, and it's the second highest deal made ever. Behind only United. Even if you speculate the stadium naming rights are worth a lot (which is difficult since the name has sort of stuck, makes it difficult to convince others) then the deal is good.

Re: Football Season 2012/2013

The name has stuck but it can easily be changed. The naming rights were always to do with the build of the stadium and that has been in the media so anyone who doesn't come to realise that isn't worthy of looking at monies, finances.

The stadium could well be called The Grove as many Arsenal fans seem to like and call it now and then. Anyway its all about funds so naming rights were always going to be on the cards I just feel its been sold off way too cheaply.

150 for 5 yrs. Combo shirt/stadium sponsorship deal. This extends the current stadium rights.

It just doesn't add up for me. The length + the growth of the league and surroundings expected = crap deal when it comes to stadium rights. I don't agree with whats been said about the value of our stadium naming rights.

also has the training kit sponsorship been thrown in ?
