Got my price increase letter today , in the booklet which accompanies it there's mention that football first is to be made available on the Sky Sports iPad app which will be very welcome for when I'm away.

Sky are to begin rolling out a new software update to its customers this week (DRX 890/895) boxes , as usual the rollout will be staggered.

The software will include

Software Upgrade - New and improved software notification system, when your box now updates an on screen message will let you know it has done so and pressing select will take you to a help page so you can read what's new.

Broadband Callback - Single box customers can now use their Broadband connection instead of their phoneline to order box office and Sky Store purchases. Multiroom customers are still required to have both boxes connected to a working landline currently.

The software seems pretty stable and has been for some time.

That must be the cause for celebration Chad because we really are starting to feel a bit sorry for lovers of the dark side as they have not had much to shout about this year compared to Virgin's treasure trove of new channels that have launched with the promise of more to come.:D

Please explain Den...what channels has Virgin got that Sky doesn't?

If it is easier for you because you don't know..you can just list the channels we have that you don't
