That's cause I've been too lazy to update them for a while. Been busy trying to figure out why the Superhub wifi antennas are designed for the wrong frequency...

And I think your research warrants a thread of its own

What frequency is it designed for??

Anyone got an antenna analyser that can go beyond 5Ghz to put on one??

Hey Craig

Two more if you want them, both VM, both in Wakefield. Mine's 100/10, my Mum's 60/3.

The regular spikes are the ICM broadband speedtest thingy.

2.8 and 5.8Ghz in free space, both about 400Mhz too high. Mounting it in the plastic case reduces resonant frequency by about 200Mhz but it's still 200Mhz off, and still less effective than a broken paperclip at the frequency wifi works at...

All OT though. That's for another thread as craigy suggested ;)

Hmmm...
I wonder if I put some broken paperclips on eBay as Superhub upgrade antennas if I would sell any...

Sky fibre is turning out to be a pretty reliable product, 40 Mbps Download and a very nice 10 Mbps Upload. I just wish I could bin their crappy router as it's absolute bobbins and a real weak point in an otherwise strong chain.

Im running sky fibre with a linksys e4200 - you can use any router as long as it runs DDWRT. Theres a guide how to swap it over on sky user

Interesting,,,, Ive got an ageing Linky WRT610N that I could use possibly, but I need an idiot proof guide on how to do it. I'm not that clued up on routers, firmware changes etc. The only thing I read on sky user was a temp work around and not a full on solution.

Are you saying Sky's encryption has now been cracked to allow any 3rd party router as long as DDWRT can be used.
