Cable Forum - U.S Election 2020

It was intended to be an invasion of the Capitol building by some of Trump's supporters - they clearly didn't smash those windows and invade the building by accident!

No invasions of government buildings happened in the few Remain marches which were all reported as orderly. Unlike the sad scenes unveiling before our eyes at Capitol Hill.

Quite easy to get into Parliament. Just need to turn up say you're there to see your MP and walk in. There is usual airport type security but apart from that I was quite surprised how easy it is when I went.

He's creating problems for his followers Ted Cruz etc. When Congress reconvenes do they keep going with their frivolous objections and look like fools or do they back down and look like the spineless snakes they are.

Can't think of many careers ruined by it off hand. Cruz on the other hand is finished with the MAGA crowd if he backs down and finished with any sane person that recognises the election wasn't stolen if he proceeds.

It's no longer a minor procedural objection - it's fanning the flames of insurrection.
