Telewest did launch Discovery Real Time +1 and an other Discovery branded channel on an Saturday once some years ago.

Then the next day (An Sunday) removed two GCap Radio Channels - forgot they names.

That I did say yesterday (I think) for - still unconfirmed as set to launch this week by any insiders.

Food Network and Travel Channel can take up to THREE weeks after that rumour started (On Saturday) to launch.

It still an rumour in my eyes - look what happen to Universal HD and E! HD they are both still to appear on Virgin.

I agree, this sort of speculation isn't very helpful. For all we know, a new carriage agreement with Viacom might not include any additional channels. The grouping and renumbering of the MTV branded music channels in the EPG would indicate that they haven't left any obvious gaps for adding channels in the short term.

I was just going on the deals Virgin Media has signed with broadcasters in 2013 - Discovery, ITV, Channel 4, Cartoon Network/TCM and Zee.

Anyway an insider has reveal to me in the past hour that no channels are set to launch this week (As far as my insider knows.)*

True but every negotiated deal will be different. Say, for example, VM negotiates carriage for a group of fairly popular channels at a certain rate. If the content provider wants to charge the same rate/channel to add further, less popular, channels, it wouldn't be in VM's interests to agree to that. I'm not saying this is what has happened, just that negotiations are complex and we don't know what goes on behind the scenes.

That's kinda my point, all this info about channels might be coming, and then, nothing again. it's best to just wait and see.

He has a proven record but remember planned channel dates launches can often change due to a good many factors.
