A post on the VirginMedia forum:
I've just talked to customer service, thinking of upgrading to vip pack. I asked him about BT Sport channel, and he said it will be announced by 2nd week in July. I will believe it when I see it. So I've held back on vip pack until I see whats happening with BT Sport

Lol, you make BT sound like some incompetant newcomer; they may be a newcomer to broadcasting, but they're no lightweight.

The only company being a pain in the rear is VM. They should be a provider of all channels that Sky have.

But then VM dont give a monkeys for it customer - we have seen that over the years. Customers are after certain channels, but don't get them. Irs always the same - we are in talks, same old crap.

and tell us how when sky withholding the channels not VM what planet you on Arthur FFS do you get it SKY wont let anyone have the channels there withholding sheshhhhhhhhhhhhh come on Arthur think about it

True, they are no lightweights but they are newcomers to broadcasting

Compared to Sky's clever brains team they are a bunch of dunces in my humble opinion.

True in that respect but Sky still have the mighty News Corp to lend them a hand if need be and when it comes to the TV market Sky are light years ahead of BT.

BT wont spend the money it needs to outbid sky as sky all ready pay twice as much and will up bid and Murdoch knows how much sky need the football

sky forked out £2.28bn
BT forked out £738m

no way will BT outbid sky for football as them figures show

Just reading on DS that a customer told retentions he was leaving because VM can't guarantee BT sports and they rang him back to offer him sky sports free for 6 months to get him to stay...
That doesn't sound like VM are too confident about getting it either.

In the unlikely scenario of it not arriving then Virgin would be wise to have something up their sleeve as they will have to appease quite a few customers in my opinion if it does not arrive.

This could if it happens that way be another Sky one debacle.

Re: ESPN, BT, Euro, Premier and Sky Sports news

Well can you answer the question then.
Why does VM treat there customers with such poor customer care. Why does it take so long for them to let us know about certain channels. and why does it take so long for talks to be done. there must be thosands of VM customers that would love the channels that Sky have but cannot get the full Sky channel service.

Other cable operators have channels that VM customers would love to have.
