Sorry. It's hard to do a search for a photo and I did a search on the URL but the search engine told me that "The following words are either very common, too long, or too short and were not included in your search"

Sorry to be a nag but it takes ages for this thread to load and I tend to avoid this thread for that reason...I'm only on 2MB.

It might be nice if there were less piccys in each post...:tu:

2Mb? I didn't realise VM still did 2Mb, I thought they'd upgraded everyone on 2Mb to 4Mb, just like they've upgraded 4Mb to 10Mb? Might be worth having a moan to CS about it.

Anyway, less pics-per-post - yeah, ok. Having said that, what have you got your option for number of posts per page set to? I know it can go upto 100, but it can also be set as low as 10 [I have mine set to 20, I can't remember what the default is].

I'm on 40 posts..which is convenient for me when there are fewer attachments per post.I'm not saying don't post 'em, just ration them out a bit more..I'd certainly enjoy looking at them more then...;)

Are you absolutely sure about that? My mum & stepdad used to be on the 2Mb, & although they've now switched to the 10Mb, I'm pretty sure they got upgraded from 2 to 4 [for free, as part of the speed upgrade scheme] before that. Have any of the various VM-employees that are members here looked into it for you? I suppose it's possible your kneck of the woods could have managed to end up last on the list for upgrades, but if they've made the hardware changes necessary for the higher speeds like 50Mb as you mention, then it should be just a case of someone making the necessary adjustment to your account.

You could always switch to 10 before reading this thread then go back to 40. :p: :D If you're using Firefox I may be able to come up with a way to make that possible without having to go back into the Control Panel each time [e.g. a button or something]. [That is if I ever find out the syntax for using back-references in the Greasemonkey/Platypus extensions! :rolleyes:].

Speaking of posts per page, I actually used to have it set to 40, & switched to 20 because I got a bit impatient with how long it seemed to take for the page to finish loading. Whether that's just me having bad luck trying the CF server at busy times, or because the number of tabs I usually have open tends to be a 3 figure number :disturbd:, I don't know.

No the only upgrade has been the 4MB to 10MB..If I want to upgrade I''ll have to pay and go to the 10MB...I have been looking into it...;)

Anyway less is more..the fewer pictures the more I can appreciate each one...speaking as an artist anyway.;)

You should see this thread load at work over Remote Desktop over VPN, with my 3Mb upload. Slow!
