I was thinking (or hoping?) the same.

Streaming is the future; not hard disc set top box PVRs, even 4k ones.

Couldn't disagree with you there, PB. Although that won't please everyone on here! ;)

There will always be a place for both PB as STB PVRs will still be around for a long while yet.

Better to be a unbeliever rather then convince yourself that something is going to take over the world.:)

The Sky add says something like 'Time to set your TV free'.

It's hardly 'free' being tied to a traditional PVR.

If it is a 4k box, Sky should be had-up for false advertising :D

I suppose this does fit into setting the TV free malarkey.

Like the EE TV box, Sky's player will also share broadcasts across smartphones and tablets, as families increasingly shift towards smaller screens.

Those with a VPN might be interested in this (it's only available in the USA at the moment).
