Having lived with the update for a few days I have noticed it to be a lot slower than before.

In particular pressing My shows takes around 3-4 seconds to load everything on the page when it was pretty instant before. Also pressing the play button from My shows takes around the same time for the recording to start.

Hopefully this will be fixed in a future update and it isn't a hardware limitation on the TiVo

I've also noticed some areas slowing right down on both of my boxes although it seems an intermittent problem in that sometimes the response is as quick or quicker than the previous version but sometimes I get a long delay with either a black screen or the spinning circle. My Shows, starting playback, planned recordings and going from the menus to live TV are the areas where I've seen this.

A bit disappointing really but not the end of the world. Perhaps the old technology used for the UI was not the only cause for perceived sluggish performance, it may be more to do with the people writing the software.

It's nice that the UI no longer looks like a US local news channel from the nineties, but yes it's still pretty sluggish. Maybe the hardware just isn't up to it. TiVo still doesn't solve the fundamental problem of making it easier to discover new content that might be of interest across live channels, recordings and on-demand.

TiVo Netflix still seems to be problematic when linking with Netflix on Android. The TiVo app still won't load before the Android app times out trying to connect and even when it has loaded it regularly gives communication error messages and sometimes shows multiple devices with the same name.

And Cambridge head end. Updated on the last day last time round, getting close to that again.:(. Won't complain though, I believe we were one of the first for an update two or three updates back. The waiting does suck though.:)

All you guys waiting for the update, don't get too excited, there's no real improvement imo, in fact I think it's worse than it was, and the colour scheme is bloody awful imo.

In my experience so far there is now much more fluctuation between speeds. Sometimes it is lightening fast, others it's painfully slow. It took over 5 seconds to display and then populate my shows at one point yesterday, which frankly isn't good enough.

I have today noticed that now when you browse tv and collections there is a "record this collection" option, which seems like a good idea.

Finally got our update yesterday, followed the onscreen instructions and away it went.

99% of all recordings are done by the missus, all the usual reality garbage etc.

She was complaining last night that it appears to have reloaded masses of stuff that she has previously deleted and she spent ages going through it all getting rid of them.

I'm in Newcastle-under-Lyme (Stoke I imagine), I see you said we have the update. However, mine hasn't updated.
Is there anything I need too do?

Even if the menu speed hasn't increased to people, it is still a damn sight faster than the internet seems to be this week. Speeds are worse than dial up sometimes.

Stoke hasn't been done yet.
