Well you are in for a treat if they drop all 20 eps in one go. Get ready to book a day off so you can turbo binge.

Did enjoy Picard the few episodes I watched but no longer have Prime unfortunately. I hate these streamers! I watched every episode of The Walking Dead and now I find the final ever season is on a streaming service. These streamers might be good for competition but not alas for the poor consumer who needs very deep pockets of they're to watch everything they want

And here I am thinking I only ever stream now it makes TV so much better.

As Jaymoss says there are other ways to stream without paying.

Yeah, I think streaming services need to go the way of things like Spotify where everything is made available on a central database and you pay one subscription of e.g. £30. Depending what you watch the provide then says "right, we need to pay £2 to Netflix for x, £5 to Amazon for y and 10 to Disney for z".

Unfortunately, that model only works for Spotify (or whoever the aggregator/disseminator is) - the creators get very little from Spotify.

More annoying is when studios and asset owners set up their own service and assets that were on general platforms (Netflix/Prime) now aren't and you need to pay for each asset owner stream which if you watch items from multiple owners gets very costly.

The recognition model is different too.

Most people won't know which label a music artist is on, so they're not going to sign up to a 'Warner Music' or 'Sony Records' streaming service. They're wanting the artists. I do appreciate there are some exceptions to this.

But for TV and Film content, it is a large part the studio or channel that is the brand.
