that may be true but in my opinion Sky has much more hd CONTENT and channels than VM.

So how many hours a day do you spend watching the HD epg?

SKY ATALNTIC HD

Which is nothing to do with Tivo, which is the title of this thread, and what mupetman is discussing. There is a thread about Sky Atlantic.

You're right and apologise. I'm a long time Sky customer recently come over to VM.

I'm just bitter that you have half the HD channels and a lot less SD channels. I came over for TIVO and yet it seems your tivo doesnt have dynamic EPG...THEN ITS NOT TIVO YOU FOOLS LOL........

On Sky I'm used to having a dynamic epg so for ex sky users the VM tivo is a step backwards.

But anyway I'm just bitter that I left sky ignore me.

I work in the Business side of the company yes, but I still have access to all the same info on the intranet and do have a TiVo box.

We on the residential side can access business information, mobile and even national plus a lot more information if we care to look, but all the main information is routinely emailed to everyone in a mass mailshot with hyperlinks even if we have need to know about it.

How is TIVO a step back from a SkyHD box.

TiVo connects to the network and constantly updates it data, so effectively it's a dynamic epg and more likely to pick up and program changes.

V+ doesn't have a Dynamic epg , it's never failed me yet. The TIVO is light years ahead in every other way.

The EPG is managed and controlled by TiVo, so I'm not sure what you mean here? It's worked perfectly for me and hasn't missed a recording or cut off the beginning or end, but hey what do I know :PP:

How is TiVo a step backwards? Sky's EPG is poor compared with TiVo.

indeed. I've seen TiVo pick up late changes very quickly ahead of V+.

So you swapped from Sky to get tivo which never in the past had a dynamic epg. Have you ever used a VM tivo or even seen one in real life. If not as the epg updates much better than the current V+ wouldn't it be better to hold your opinion until you have?

Well if you happy and it has never failed then maybe it is dynamic and I stand corrected.

Like I said before I'm not anti Tivo I just wish I had stayed with Sky. I'm getting bitter lol.
