I would imagine UHD will be mainly on demand rather than on conventional broadcast channels initially and you may not get a lot of notice about content.

Other news - We have seen unconfirmed rumours that both Hum Masala will launch on Virgin Media UK on August 14th and Star Life OK will be replaced by Star Bharat on August 15th.

Freesat maybe, Freeview no. With the bandwidth required & the amount of spectrum about to be lost to 5G rollout HD is likely to be the limit for DTT.

Looks like VM Ireland are aiming for channel parity with the UK.

Assuming I get to see the scan data, which isn't guaranteed. Scan data is generally available at the start of the month and mid-month. Exact timings in the summer months are unpredictable, working around when the people doing the scans take their holidays.

Nope. An channel named Arabic Hafla was testing for 21 months until December 2016.

We have been told by a new source than vm are very close to a deal with Nbc. No further details but we at One HQ think it might be what was mentioned ages ago clasdic nbc programmes being availablevia vms on demand service aka (knightrider, airwolf etc).
