You can't with a standard VM box, a TV with a cable tuner or an unofficial cable box would be needed.

Connecting such unauthorised equipment to the network, however, is against VM terms and conditions.

Some people also say that this could introduce noise into the system; thus degrading the TV picture for neighbouring houses.

Not seen/heard anything about the ITVBE EPG slot.

Apparently, the delay in 5*+1 returning to VM is due to Viacom wanting to put it on channel 152. Research shows that +1 channels do much better if placed next to the main channel.

If Channel 5+24 closes, this won't be a problem. Viacom are going to have to decide what they are going to do with channel 5+24, or accept that either it or 5*+1 are going to be placed away from the rest of the channel portfolio.

I suspect (but don't know for sure) that this could be the extra stream that MB picked up so that things are ready to roll if/when Viacom and VM come to an agreement.

... just been told that the increase in "services" may be the forthcoming extra audio feed for BBC2. ( Next months BBC coverage of the Pro 12 rugby competition will offer commentry in both English and Gaelic).

Media Boy HQ think we may see Tru TV sometime this week - as early as October 1st.

Why October 1st?

Sky launch Sky1 HD on Virgin Media on that date back in 2010.

Or we may even see the following:

Or ITV may just ask Virgin Media to reuse ITV4 +1 EPG Slot for ITV Be.
