Also Price Drop on Channel 741.

Maybe an Power cut as sound is still going out.

Some time ago I was told that VM were "mindful to pull" the channels from the EPG. Whilst this wasn't actually said, I got the impression that they hadn't paid their fees to VM (not sure if I posted it on here or not).

From what I can gather from various sources, it appears that it did indeed go off air due to a power cut- a deliberate one from their electricity supplier for continued non payment of an outstanding bill. AFAIK the slates being shown are being generated from a back up server and automatically kick in in the event of an unplanned outage.

In the case of VM, I would expect them to be removed very soon and replaced by a VM "channel no longer available" slate. I hope Spiderplant hasn't already gone away for easter :D

Depends where their servers are based, they would continue if hosted elsewhere. One went down earlier today, but was restored to the holding page shortly afterwards.

What sound is coming from Bid TV on Freeview? Does it sound like a recording, or has nobody told the presenter to stop trying to sell :D
